If it is said that "utterly destroying darkness", then, the Buddha's teachings, with respect to extremely long periods of time and immeasurable distinctions, since they have not separated from non-afflictive pervasive ignorance, therefore, the Hearers and so forth would also become those who utterly destroy darkness. Therefore, in order to distinguish them, both are spoken. Or, it is impossible for anyone other than the Teacher to have completely abandoned pervasive ignorance, it is like that. Well then, if it is said that "utterly destroying darkness", then only the Teacher's complete abandonment will be beneficial, but not the complete wisdom, is that so? Isn't it that the complete abandonment itself will realize the complete wisdom? tang bi nA bhA bi twAt. The Teacher's abandonment and the excellence of wisdom will be shown as the nature of arising the complete accomplishment of achieving self-benefit. Well then, don't the Hearers and so forth also have the abandonment of afflictions and non-afflictive pervasive ignorance towards all knowable things? Because in the manner of abandoning a part, they become non-learners. If here it is intended to abandon pervasive behavior, but it is not intended to explain the abandonment of afflictions that are aimed at it, because it is the same as the Hearers and so forth. Because for the Hearers and so forth, with respect to all knowable things, the afflicted mind has later become the nature of not arising again. Isn't there the abandonment of pervasive behavior? Therefore, it is said that the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas and so forth also want to become those who utterly destroy darkness, because they proclaim the fruit of the true teachings, therefore they are Hearers. Because they become Buddhas individually and separately, therefore they are Solitary Buddhas. They tame themselves alone, but not others. The meaning of "want to become" is, because they want to acknowledge and then answer, therefore it means "although they want to become". Afflicted pervasive igno

The reason for saying "free from defilements" is to show the destruction of all darkness. If the Shravakas and others do not completely abandon the universally obscured by afflictions, then they will not be free from the universal afflictions of afflictions, karma, and birth, because the universal afflictions of afflictions, karma, and birth are caused by the universally obscured by afflictions. Furthermore, how can the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas reverse the three universal afflictions if there is non-afflictive ignorance? Because affliction itself is the cause of universal affliction. Because affliction itself is the cause of universal affliction, it is the cause of universal affliction because it is the opposing side of seeing the meaning of truth. Non-affliction is not the opposing side of seeing the meaning of truth, so it is the opposing side of knowing the Buddha's teachings and so on. Because it hinders the entry of wisdom other than seeing the meaning of truth, it is said to be the obscuration of the Buddhas alone, not of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. For the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, only affliction is the obscuration of wisdom. What does it mean to say "not at all"? It is related to "destroying darkness" because it is appropriate. When it is said in detail about them, ha, this word means "for what reason." Regarding "the Buddha's teachings": the Buddha's teachings are powers and fearlessness, and so on. Because they are beyond the scope of knowledge of non-omniscient beings, the knowledge of others besides the omniscient one cannot enter into them. Therefore, due to the unobstructed nature, only the omniscient ones should be called possessors of the power of wisdom, not others. Otherwise, they would not be superior to the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. In the Sutra, it is also asked, "Shariputra, do you know the aggregates of morality, concentration, liberation, and the wisdom of liberation of the Tathagata?"
