I, that is, the definite grasping of the characteristics of solidity and so on, and the definite grasping of the four, shows that there are no ten great elements. If there is nothing transformed from the elements that is different from the elements, then it should be said that there are four realms or one realm, not ten. Because of the definite grasping of the characteristics of solidity and so on, it shows that the eye and so on, and form and so on, are not included in the elements, because solidity and so on do not correspond to their own nature and characteristics, just like feelings and so on. Furthermore, how can it be understood that they do not correspond to the characteristics of the elements? Because those elements are tangible and are the objects of touch. But the objects of the eye and so on are form and so on, not tangible things. Form and so on are to be seen, smelled, and tasted, and the eye and so on are also those that see, smell, and taste, but they do not touch, so they are not tangible. If all forms and so on become the objects of all senses, because they have the same nature, then this is not the case. The eye and so on, that is, the eye, ear, nose, and tongue, do not grasp solidity and so on, that is, solidity, moisture, warmth, lightness, and movement, so earth and so on are not the nature of form and so on. The body's sense also does not grasp colors and so on, that is, color, sound, smell, and taste, so it can be established that form and so on are not the nature of the elements. The eye and so on, because they have objects and the objects are definite, it should be understood that the nature of objects and objects are different from each other. In the sutras, the definite grasping of the four elements and the definite grasping of the nature of solidity and so on, therefore colors and so on are contrary to the objects that can be grasped by the body's sense, so it can be established that the ten realms are not just elements. Because it can become form, it is form, that is, it has the nature of being able to be harmed. Because it exists here, the realms of the eye and so on are forms.

It is called so. The sense-sphere of touch only refers to the four great elements, not to the sense-spheres of the eye, etc. Because the sutra says that softness, etc., which are different from the elements, are the sense-sphere of touch, it is called made by the four great elements. Because the sense-sphere of touch only includes a part of the elements, the remaining eye, etc., and softness, etc., are not elements, which is clearly and completely shown. Everything is the nature of elements, the sense-sphere of touch is only shown as two kinds, not the sense-spheres of the eye, etc.; the sense-spheres of the eye, etc., are only shown as one kind, not the sense-sphere of touch. Regarding this, the two, element and what is transformed from element, because their natures are different, are not other causes. Therefore, it contradicts the sutra, so these ten sense-spheres are not just elements. If the sutra says extensively, if the eye is not the nature of element, why does it say this: In the flesh mass of the eye, what is hard and rough? If it is said like this, then for the nature of the gathering of elements such as the eye, it is reasonable to show the faculties as the nature of elements here, and mentioning the flesh mass is also meaningful. For those who do not agree with the element and characteristics, it is unreasonable to show the faculties as the nature of elements, because it is not a part, nor is it its nature. Mentioning the flesh mass is also meaningless. Rough is the form of roughness. Entering without difference from this, the sutra says extensively, for this, the eye has the state of entering without difference from this, so it is entering without difference. This will be shown, the eye faculty also is, and enters together

Therefore, it is said that in the world, its support is the flesh mass, which is the nature of the four great elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, and what is transformed from the four great elements, but not the root of eye consciousness, they say. Otherwise, only the word "eye" would be spoken. Moreover, it can be understood by stating the seventh reason, because all the arising of the aggregates of non-different roots are followed, therefore, it is called expressing with the seventh reason, meaning that all the flesh masses of the support must be grasped. If the eye and so on, and the form and so on, are not the nature of the four great elements, then it would contradict the teacher's words, "Bhikkhu, this person is the six elements," if the earth and other elements are separate from the form and other elements and the eye and other elements, then it should not be said, "This person is the six elements," if so, then this is to show the basis of the substance of entering the womb, because the sutra has a hidden meaning, so there is no contradiction. Among them, the state of being slimy and so on is the basis of the substance of sentient beings, in order to express this, the six elements are also said when form and so on exist, to this, some others say that the birthplaces of touch and so on, and the eye and so on, are the nature of the four great elements, the birthplaces of touch and so on are the fundamental substance for the arising of consciousness, and also, the eye and so on also depend on the four great elements, therefore the four great elements are the root. Others say that when connecting the continuity, because there are no eyes and so on, therefore these are not mentioned.
