对此,sādhya sya bya bhi cāro na hetuḥ na ca sādhya bya bhi cāranna hetu prayā tārya katvā de tat ki la pa dang mi ti kā raṇān tara mā ha。

The consciousness aggregate of the consciousness realm is also included in the path. Non-leaking consciousness and the unconditioned are included in the dharma realm. 'Those with vitarka and vicāra,' the word 'is' indicates that only vitarka and vicāra are definite. Therefore, it is said that 'these are always' and so on. Why is this always associated with vitarka and vicāra? Because these are coarse things that look outward, these are the words of the treatise. If so, then things that are inward and without cause, constant combination is visible, so says the teacher Dusang. To this, sādhya sya bya bhi cāro na hetuḥ na ca sādhya bya bhi cāranna hetu prayā tārya katvā de tat ki la pa dang mi ti kā raṇān tara mā ha. The ground of having vitarka and vicāra is because it exists. 'The last three,' even if two are determined, there is no fault. What is finally emitted is the last. For the non-corresponding, because there is no correspondence with vitarka and vicāra, it is impossible to have vitarka, therefore it is said 'corresponding' and so on. Saying that the dharma realm corresponds will excessively attribute to vitarka and vicāra, because they do not have a second vitarka and vicāra, so it is impossible to have vitarka and vicāra. Therefore, it is said 'different from vitarka and vicāra.' Above the first dhyana there is no vitarka, above the excellent dhyana there is no vicāra, and because it is the last three realms, it is said 'in the desire realm and the first dhyana.' In the desire realm and the first dhyana, what is not associated with vitarka and vicāra? There is no aspect of mind-born that abandons vitarka and vicāra. Excellent dhyana has no discrimination of vitarka, only vicāra can discriminate, this is the meaning of 'corresponding vitarka.' 'No vitarka and no vicāra,' because above the excellent dhyana there is no vitarka and vicāra, so all those who do not correspond to the dharma realm are not both.

That is to say, mentioning everything is for the purpose of collecting conditioned and unconditioned things, and for the purpose of collecting all grounds. The special examination of meditation is because there is no conception, and because there is no second examination, meaning that it tends towards having neither conception nor examination. Examination is always without examination and only discrimination, that is, discrimination is also of three kinds. Conception is always without discrimination and only constant examination, that is, it is not examination. As it is widely stated in the desire realm and the first dhyana, if asked, are they not included in having conception and having examination? The teacher Sanghasena says, because there is no examination, it will not be included in other types, because it is associated with discrimination. If it is not said because there is no second discrimination, then what will be associated with it? To this, there is a second feeling, saying that it is not associated with this, or admitting that although there is no difference, it is associated, therefore it should be said because it is associated with its own nature. It is not because there is no second discrimination. Saying that it is associated with others, this is completely established, unlike distinguishing its aggregates. Saying that there is a second discrimination, therefore it is said that there is no second discrimination, that is, what is said is that there is a second feeling. For saying that there is something not associated with this, one should also refute it in sequence, if there is no second feeling in its aggregates, then by what does one examine that it is associated with this? Just like thought and so on. For "its own sake", for what reason is it not included in those three examinations? In having conception and having examination, that is, in the desire realm and the first dhyana. The first type is because it is associated with conception. The second type is because it is associated with examination, and conception.
