To savor feelings for the sake of feeling, that is, under the influence of craving, one benefits feelings and is very attached to and particularly infatuated with desires. The so-called "under the influence of perverse perception" means perceiving what is not Dharma as Dharma, and perceiving what is without self as self, and so on. These are holding precepts and asceticism as supreme, as well as views such as the view of the aggregates as a real self and the view of holding to extremes, that is, being very attached to these views. When those who see the truth have perception, they do not have attachment to views because they do not have perversion. Therefore, whoever makes perception perverse, that itself is the cause of attachment to views. Is it because their existence and non-existence lead to existence and non-existence? That is not so, because the nature of unclearness is like darkness, so ignorance, which is the cause of perverse thinking, should not be regarded as the cause of attachment to views. Rather, the perception that is mixed with it and has the aspect of grasping at characteristics is the cause. It is said: The fish in the mud jump again and again, just as they make the water turbid. Perception related to ignorance, disturbing wisdom is also similar to that. Therefore, it is reasonable to say that one is attached to views under the influence of perverse perception. Attachment to feeling is gathering to feeling. Perverted perception is grasping at characteristics perversely. Therefore, clinging to feelings and indulging in craving, one will wander in samsara. Due to perverse perception, one will indulge in views. Attachment to feeling is perverse, therefore only perverse perception will wander at the time of connection. As it is said: The mind, due to perversion, goes to dangerous places. It is like that. Here, the nature of the cause of samsara is explained in this way, but in reality, only attachment to perversion is the cause, because there is no one who proclaims the Dharma without first considering the intentions of the Buddhas, and the intention is also clearly explained here. Then, why is it said that "the sense bases" and so on are questions? The aggregates are not gathered in language.
