The male and female faculties that are not realms do not exist. All of them are of the same kind in the body, so they are of the same kind. Since the object of all is touch, the field of activity is the same. There is no other faculty than the difference of touch, just like the eyes and chest, etc. Even the eyes, chest, and throat, etc., when they encounter uncommon touches such as smoke, etc., they are not other faculties, because all are the basis of the body's consciousness. Although the field of activity is the same, the similarity and dissimilarity of consciousness will clearly appear. The faculties are particularly dominant, because in some cases they themselves are also dominant, so even though the birthplaces and realms are the same, and the object is touch, and the kinds are the same, the eleven faculties are shown separately, just as the faculties are shown separately even though the dharma-sphere and realm are the same. If the eyes and so on are all the same realm, why don't their bases become the same? Therefore, it is said that for the sake of beauty, there are two. If things are not due to the power of the elements, but due to the power of thought, is it not so? This is so. Why? It is said that for the sake of beauty, there are two. What does this mean? Just as the various sentient beings now, of the same kind, with different bases for the eyes, etc., consider the basis for distinguishing the limbs to be beautiful, so it must have been the same in the past, there is no doubt about it. Therefore, considering the body accomplished by the karma that precedes existence, it is said that for the sake of beauty, there are two. This is to show the basis of the karma of birth. For example, just as the result of attachment to desire aimed at decorating beauty is said to be for the sake of beauty. The teacher Good Gathering said, the appearance of these faculties, the manifestation of their appearance, is accomplished by two causes without dissimilar qualities, just like the difference in the position of the hands and feet of the body's faculties. In any conceptualization of attachment, etc., as the basis of the body's faculties

The cause of seeing that is that those themselves hold to the concordant side. Why, like those two, the dependent and the independent, do the senses manifestly accomplish depending on causes? If it is said that the senses manifestly accomplish depending on causes, then it should be said, by what means does the cause itself of these senses engage with duality? To that, if it is only the aspect of kind, then there is the fault of the aspect of karma (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,業). Therefore, it is said that it is expressed by the word that obtains the more dominant. If the eyes, etc., become each a basis, then the more dominant will decline. Just as two see completely clearly, so it is not the same for each one alone. Thus, when the senses diminish and decline in their more dominant function, it should be said that "for the sake of beauty" is the more dominant. It is said that the more dominant should be expressed by the word "for the sake of beauty." This is merely conjecture. Just as the tongue, etc., on one basis and on many bases, also decline in their dominance because they are the same, so will one of these also become eyes, etc.? And it cannot be said that karma (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,業) makes the tongue manifest as a basis, and one desires it to be born as a vast basis. For those who are similar because they are of the same kind, it is certain that they also deem the form to be beautiful. For example, for owls, etc., it is like the distinction of the bases of the eyes, etc., which are born from the power of their own beautiful bodies. If it is not so, if the eyes, etc., do not become two bases, then they will become extremely unsightly, because for the eyes, etc., which are two bases, it will appear that they deem them to be beautiful. The meaning of aggregates, elements, and sources arises extensively. There is no difference between aggregates, sources, and elements in terms of objects. As it is said, how should one especially know that the aggregates are not assembled? It is the same for sources and elements. Therefore, here it is the difference in the meaning of aggregates, etc., that acts, but this is not to understand the difference in objects. Since the words such as formations are not individually meaningful, the meaning of aggregates, sources, and elements is synonymous.

Furthermore, therefore, in order to show the meaning of aggregates and so on in this way, the meaning of accumulation and the gate of birth, the aggregates, sense bases, and elements are. It is said, because these have the gate and kinds of accumulation and birth, so connect the words in this way. What are those? The aggregates, sense bases, and elements are. It is said, sounds and so on are, this is the remainder of the words. The meaning of aggregate is the meaning of accumulation, how to understand? It is said in the sutra that all are gathered together and become the number of the aggregate of form. Cessation by impermanence itself, cessation is five kinds of changes, is the difference of the cessation of the nature of impermanence itself. Others are the cessation of absorption, and the cessation of birth and the cessation of separate examination, and the cessation of non-separate examination. Here, cessation by impermanence itself is to distinguish the cessation of separate examination. From the perspective of form, the cessation of birth and absorption, mind and mental factors and so on are not form, some people think so. Similarly, one should also understand for feeling and so on, through very detailed explanation, one should understand the cessation of self-nature. In order to distinguish cessation, one should know that impermanence itself is said. The cessation of absorption and birth and separate examination are all future. The cessation of separate examination has three times. The cessation of the self-nature of those with outflows is the present arising. The present arising means arising but not ceasing. If it is only arising, then it will also become the past. If it is only not ceasing, then it will also become the future, so both are said to prevent. Inner means existing in one's own continuum, such as eyes and so on and forms and so on. Outer means other, means other's continuum and not belonging to the continuum. Or from the perspective of sense bases (Sanskrit: āyatana, Romanized Sanskrit: ayatana, Tibetan: སྐྱེ་མཆེད་, literal Chinese meaning: place of birth), eyes and so on are the six inner sense bases, and forms and so on are the six outer sense bases. Therefore, another.
