These are the obvious expressions. Alternatively, because he possesses fortune, he is fortunate. Then, what is fortune? As it is said: Power and beauty, fame, splendor, and wisdom, diligent effort perfectly complete, these six are called fortune. Thus it is said. Other than the Buddha, no one else fully possesses power, beauty, fame, and so on, therefore only the Buddha is the Bhagavan (bcom ldan 'das). Just as no one other than the Buddha fully possesses fame and so on, although the teacher Hero (dpa' bo) and others have extensively explained the path of virtue and so on, it is not mentioned here for fear of prolixity. If only the Buddha is the Bhagavan, and others are not, then why are both the words Buddha and Bhagavan mentioned? Because the word Buddha is without a qualifier, it can refer to the Shravaka, Pratyekabuddha, and Samyaksambuddha, therefore Bhagavan is mentioned. The word Bhagavan is also used elsewhere by some who have not tamed themselves, so Buddha is mentioned. Or, because it is inappropriate to mention only the name of Bhagavan without a qualifier, both words are mentioned. Destroying all darkness, the phrase "destroying darkness" is the essence of having multiple meanings. For synonyms such as "all" and "completely," it is the collection of the seventh case's possessive. In order to make it known that this is not polysemous, it is said: through this or by this darkness is destroyed, therefore it is the destroyer of darkness. Why is it not considered polysemous? Because for polysemy, the word "निष्ठा (niṣṭha)", that is, a word ending in निष्ठ (niṣṭha), when it becomes a prefix before, it would become "destroying all darkness", not "all darkness". Because it belongs to "आहित (āhita)", "अग्नि (agni)" and so on, there is no need to put a word ending in निष्ठ (niṣṭha) before. Likewise, this is also because the words destroying, darkness, and all have been regarded as different. If it is not regarded as different, then polysemy would be obtained in all cases, therefore "destroying all darkness" is the possessive of the seventh case, and this is polysemous. When "destroying this's darkness" is combined as the sixth case, then that

When the Bhagavan is closely associated with the dispelling of darkness, the agent and action of dispelling darkness are not shown. When the words are connected in the third person with the characteristic of the agent, saying, "This has dispelled the darkness," it is also because one wants to say that the Bhagavan is the agent of dispelling darkness. If it is said that from which result or which action one does not understand the connection and action of dispelling darkness, then this fault does not exist. Because the dispelling of others is not shown to be related to the masculine, it will be understood that he himself is the dispeller of darkness, and that this has dispelled his own darkness. Therefore, in any case, in order to understand that he is both the agent and the one related to the dispelling of darkness, the words are connected in both ways. Action is the attainment of an antidote, because if it exists, darkness is abandoned. Because darkness is dispelled for all, it is called "dispeller of darkness for all," which is the essence of the many meanings of the two words, the seventh case. The term "constant" is a synonym, but it is not a combination of words with it, because it is not imperishable. If it is said that since dispelling darkness is the main later word, is not dispelling darkness itself the main thing? The main thing is also seen to be related to other actions, just as saying, "Bring the speckled cow." Similarly, here too, it should be understood that the dispeller of darkness for all knowable things is the Bhagavan himself. Or, that kind of dispelling of darkness is not such a desire. If it is said, what is the desire? If the Bhagavan is the dispeller of darkness for all knowable things, then "Bhagavan" will not be connected to the seventh case either. This is certainly not related to the main thing, so it is not a quality, because it shows the connection from the meaning. For example: Your face is like the petals of a blue lotus, the stamen there is the same as the fragrance of this (face). If it is said that dispelling darkness for all is impossible, then it is not impossible. From existence, it becomes a quality, and from the quality, the dispelling of darkness itself makes all objects known, just as not being intoxicated by alcohol. For example, like the drinking of alcohol and the impairment of the eyes, the impairment of the eyes. Intoxicated
