Therefore, this is not the definitive word of the Sugata. Those who refute in this way should always proclaim the 'Distinction.' If, for something called 'atom,' it is assumed that it can produce corruptible things and has obstruction, then in either case, it will not become form because it has no parts. Just as it cannot be seen, it also cannot be touched by the tactile sensations of aggregates such as hands, because it is neither corruptible nor obstructive, this is what is thought. Here, we clearly mean the atom of matter, not the aggregate of atoms, because it belongs to the eighth substance, so it is not contradictory to corruptibility. Therefore, it is said in the sutras that the single substance of an atom being separate does not exist. Because if it is admitted, there will be statements such as rootless and silent atoms are eight substances. That which abides in the aggregate is indeed corruptible. It is either corruptible or obstructive. Some others say that even if atoms exist separately, they are corruptible. It does not produce individual appearances, because the five aggregates of consciousness rely on accumulation to perceive. Thus, for those things that do not have a definite place, it is also thought that the unobstructed nature is obstructive. After considering those things as having an obstructive nature, forms should be understood in this way. Then, for the past and the future, because they do not abide in a place, they are not subject to harm, and they are not obstructive, therefore they are not forms, this is what is thought. Among them, the form that already exists refers to the past. The form that will exist refers to the future, which has the nature of being the cause of arising. Similar to this refers to being similar to the form that already exists, which has the nature of not arising, like firewood. For example, wood that is not being burned is also called firewood, because it is similar to it, so it is firewood, and it is the same here. Then, non-manifesting form will become non-form, because it is not similar to it and has no obstruction. Manifesting

Since the form produced by change is of the same kind, isn't it the same form and kind? If we examine it carefully, how can we say that the object produced from the cause of the great elements does not exist in a place? Moreover, since representational form has form, it will exist in form, just as when a tree moves, its shadow also moves. This analogy and example are not the same, just as knowledge measures what is to be known, and a cow measures cow dung. In this way, the movement of a shadow and non-representational form are not the same. In this example, what is the dharma of proof here in this statement shown for the sake of example and proof? The meaning of combining many arrangements is not the word of arrangement, and the word of arrangement proves its own basis, that is, it relies on non-representational form, like a shadow. Alternatively, considering the aspect of relying on all representational forms, it is like a tree, because form relies on the cause of subsequent change. Meditative concentration and undefiled discipline, which are non-representational forms, although they do not depend on representational touch, are not unchanging because they are of the same kind. Some say that this difference in vows does not exist in form. The so-called change, therefore, it will be said that the change of representational form is also not a non-representational form. If the representational form changes, it will not be unchanging. This is not the case, because the aggregation of hands, feet, etc., which can become form, is changed by touch, etc., but since there is no obstruction, it will not directly become non-representational form, so one should not refute the previously accepted representational form in this way. The so-called unchanging is without difference. The changes of slaps, palms, grains, etc., have no difference from non-representational forms, therefore, the nature of other things that can become form, which is change, is for representational and non-representational forms, and saying this will not change.
