It is said so. The elements are also the place of the elements, because they are the cause of equal power. In the world, the place of origin is also called realm. Here, earth and so on do not have the meaning of lineage separately. In the case of the eighteen realms, everything is the touch realm, meaning that the meaning of lineage is the meaning of cause. Here, earth and so on do not have the meaning of lineage separately, this is another view. The meaning of lineage of each element is not contradictory to the word realm. The four great elements, then, how are these great, how are they elements, and how are they the basis? These are the support of all other forms, and because they are coarse, they are great. Whatever form other than the elements is its support, and because it is coarse, that is, large in volume. Or, which elements have more components, then the aggregates of earth and so on are the actions of those elements. Action is the karma of holding and so on. The abundance of components is that those elements are clearly revealed from the extensive characteristics. The aggregates of earth and so on are the nature of color and shape. Abiding in greatness is abiding in vastness. Because all collections of form and so on have hardness and so on, they are great, said the teacher Dudzang. Thus, for the collection that is declared outwardly, there are forms and so on, and for the undeclared, there are tastes and so on, in short, the form realm has no smell and taste. Blue and so on do not exist in those collections, and similarly, hardness and so on do not exist in some. Thus, for the time being, it is great. The element is said to be because various forms appear and are accomplished, these and those are different and arise, so they are elements. Others say that from beginningless samsara, due to the karma of all sentient beings, they arise without ever arising, so they are elements. Or, the element is said to be because the element expands the nature of the element's things, so it is the element, that is, it makes the existence of things and the birth of sentient beings grow. Then, how is it an element
