Not grasping. For flowers and so on, what is harmed is the color, not harming its basis, not the touch of the body. Softness is gentleness, just as softness itself is softness, each itself is eachness. The definite word needs to be connected, so it is soft. Gentleness is not rough, it is a synonym for being able to endure squeezing. Roughness is roughness, because this has roughness, so it is rough, like having hair. The word rough is a synonym for strength, roughness itself is roughness. Roughness is hard, it is a synonym for being very unsoft. What is heaviness? Things are soft, it is a synonym for lowering. If this exists, it will lower, so it is heavy, it is a synonym for making a mistake. Heaviness itself is heaviness. The Vaibhashikas say, what makes the scale rise? The opposite is lightness, what does not measure things? If this exists, it will not lower, so it is light. The vastness of shape itself, and also यद्द्वातः सुखमाह्रियन्ते भावाः(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning)measuring, the Vaibhashikas say that the scale is red because of the reason. Lightness itself is lightness. Cold is wanting warmth, what wants warmth because of weakness? That is number, so it is cold, because it is helping and harming, so walking quickly is a synonym. If, like in spring and autumn, cold is not wanting warmth? Because there is no other kind besides manifesting wanting warmth, so cold itself is manifesting wanting warmth, it must be understood definitely. Like that, because it is its action and its kind, it must be indicated by the characteristic. Hunger is wanting food. Thirst is wanting thirst, if mental phenomena are not the object of the body's senses, so it is said because establishing the result on the cause, from the abdomen arises the difference of touch that wants food and wants thirst.

There, the cause of wanting food is called hunger, and the cause of wanting drink is called thirst. This is because the result is attributed to the cause. If here it is not desired to express the attribution of the result to the cause, then it would not be said that "hunger is what causes the desire for food," nor would it be said that "thirst is what causes the desire for drink." Then what should be said? It should be said that hunger and thirst are the desire for food and drink. For example, the Buddhas are the source of happiness. Although broadly speaking, the appearance of the Buddhas themselves is not happiness, but because it is the cause of happiness, it is called happiness. Similarly, other things such as teaching the Dharma should also be understood in this way. The particularities of tactile sensations, such as softness, heaviness, etc., are not mentioned separately because they are included within these, just like the previous softness. Na viryate, hardness, heaviness, etc. Similarly, other tactile characteristics should also be summarized by reason. The differences between these characteristics such as softness should be understood from the differences in the elements on which they depend. Because it arises from the elements of water and fire, it is soft. Because it arises from the element of earth, it is heavy. Because it arises from the elements of fire and wind, it is light. Therefore, a dead body is heavier. Because it arises from the elements of water and wind, it is cold. Because it arises from the element of wind, it is hunger. Because it arises from the element of fire, it is thirst. Similarly, for others, it should also be understood how the substance that is the cause depends on the differences in the elements. Here, because of the limited space, the meaning of acceptance is not explained. Therefore, in the Form Realm, there is no hunger and thirst, because those who are born there have already detached themselves from the desire for food, and the body is not harmed. Otherwise, there would also be the suffering of hunger and thirst there. The remaining five characteristics such as lightness are present. If from the perspective of imputation, the inharmonious sound of the wish-fulfilling tree's clothes of the gods of emanation is measured as one srang. That of the Four Great Kings is half of that. That of the Thirty-three Gods is half of that. Thus, reducing by half and half, the Paranirmitavasavartin
