English

It is the meaning of being known. Saying "not like this" means that yogurt is not milk. The way of this word is to say "it has not happened before," which means unrelated and without cause. If something is the same as something else, then they are also the same to each other. Therefore, because it is milk itself, it should not be said, "This is also like that." If a thing is that thing, then that is that. If it is not like that, then it is not just something else, therefore, because the difference is not seen. The so-called "gold, etc." refers to gold, silver, beryl, crystal, etc. The so-called "soft" means that it has a form that is caused by being extremely subtle. The so-called "its surface is three times" refers to one side of the yoke holder. Samadhi like a vajra, other than the body of a Bodhisattva, other bodies and other places other than the Vajra Seat cannot endure it. The water in that place has become two kinds, hence the name continent. The so-called "the eight continents in between" means that all of them are formed by bad karma. Therefore, the people who live there are all small in stature. The so-called "one place where Rakshasas live" refers to Rakshasa Continent. To the north of this Jambudvipa, there are three black mountains that are not very far away. The so-called "crossing over them, there are three more," is explained in detail. The so-called "because of that" means that because of Jambudvipa, it is specifically called Jambudvipa. Or because of its fruit, that is, because of the fruit of the Jambudvipa tree. The so-called "only this Jambudvipa," why is it only this Jambudvipa and not other continents? Because only in Jambudvipa is it possible to universally practice evil deeds, and there is the karma of becoming weapons, and there are sharp senses. That is why it is said like that. The so-called "uninterrupted suffering" means that there is uninterrupted suffering there. The word uninterrupted is a synonym for uninterrupted. Therefore, there is no time for happiness.

is the only happiness, neither happiness nor suffering, which is irreversible. According to the previous statement, there is no such thing as neither happiness nor suffering. If that were the case, it would be too much. Because it is entirely the result of unwholesome karma, there is no feeling of happiness in other hells, so it would become the Avici Hell. Therefore, it is said in detail, "the others." Some say that there are no visible gaps. Although the mind is weak, because the body is huge, the external nature, the collection of flames arising from one's own and others' bodies, approach and destroy each other, so it is extremely hot. The flames that follow the body completely burn, so it is hot. Because of the extremely tormented wailing, it is a loud cry. Because many sounds of torment are emitted, it is called out. Equally gathered together to destroy each other, so it is a gathering of destruction. Because black lines are drawn and then die, it is the black line. Those who die and die all revive, so it is revival. Called "Remaining Sixteen" because it is destroyed by various causes, so it is remaining. Some say that because the destruction is more severe than the suffering of hell, it is remaining. The term "four walls" means four fences. The term "separated" means living separately. If you ask how they are separated, it is said that they are divided in this way. Completely surrounded by iron fences. It means completely surrounded by iron fences. The term "filled with iron" means closed with iron. The term "universally present" means covered. As before, if you lift your foot, the skin and shattered blood will grow back. Holding sticks, spears, etc., is holding the enemy's axe. Some say that it is a dwelling place, which is satisfactory, because it is much weaker than the suffering of the fundamental hell, so the word "remaining" does not want to express a more severe meaning. So what does it mean? It also wants to express the meaning of no interval and the meaning of destruction. Another question arises from one question, that is, the direction of hell is above.

So, rather than asking "how much is there in the play," it is better to ask "the guardians of hells" and so on, which is the origin of another more detailed question. Now, if one asks "how do they move," it is because inanimate things like trees do not move, and conversely, the question is raised because one sees sentient beings moving. As it is said: "One's own body, with wisdom as the guide, seeing its actions, then clings to others, wherever there is wisdom, there it is; where there is no wisdom, it is known to be absent." Like the wind of attachment, for example, the wind of attachment moves in accordance with the formation of the vessel world due to the karma of sentient beings. They are not counted as sentient beings because they do not experience the suffering caused by the cause of the vessel of hell. Then, what the venerable Dharma-increasing Subhuti said will be explained in detail, because it reveals its cause, karma, and afflictions, so know that they are sentient beings. What is the admonition of Yama, this will be explained in detail. The Rakshasas of Yama, who are like messengers of the gods as described in the sutras, are different and are not the guardians of hell, so there is no contradiction. For those who are suffering and miserable, since there is no merit, it is impossible, now it is asked, where do those karmas ripen? Seeing that only in those places is there an opportunity for the ripening of even more serious sins, so it is said "where," that is, in those hells. Those who commit the five heinous crimes, this will be explained extensively, because there is no more serious sin than the five heinous crimes. If one asks, if they dwell in fire, why are they not burned? If they were sentient beings, like the beings in hell, they would not be burned. Karma has set boundaries, meaning that these should not be burned. Karma separates the guardians of hell from the flames, preventing them from devouring.
