It is said that this is why it is said. So why say a hundred? Therefore, to explain, for what reason, from those who seek fame and fortune, giving food to a hundred desireless ascetics is better than that, saying a hundred is because it is in terms of the initial situation. Like that, that is not eaten by ghosts, it exists like that, meaning that it is also like that because of this reason. Whichever Bodhisattva merely dwells in the Jambudvipa grove, they think of them as ordinary people, not having obtained the roots of virtue corresponding to the decisive part. Like this, the heretics other than those who live in the Jambudvipa grove will elaborate. If it is not like that, it means that if one obtains the roots of virtue corresponding to the decisive part, then compared to giving food to a hundred people living in the Jambudvipa grove, if one gives to one who has entered in order to attain the fruit of stream-entry, then this giving is greater in fruit than that giving, thus making the one who has entered the stream-entry more superior than the one living in the Jambudvipa grove. How is the dependent origination of sentient beings, meaning that it is the twelve links of dependent origination, divided into three parts, and so on. How it exists, that is, sentient beings live on food, has already been explained. Death is also because of dying when life is exhausted, and there are also those who do not die because of the exhaustion of merit, which has been explained in detail. Now, what will appear is where the mind dwells. For the four existences, including the intermediate existence, the existence of death and the existence of birth are only momentary, therefore, for which moment the consciousness dwells, how should this question of death and birth be said? Therefore, it is said, "Measure and connection, desirelessness, decay and death, birth, etc." Because there is the saying "cutting off the root with wrong view", the correct explanation of the root of virtue is because of wrong view, and wrong view is only corresponding to consciousness. Because it is the nature of discrimination, the connection of the root of virtue itself is because of doubt and right view, connection is doubt.

It will be explained as "having a view of doubt." Doubt is similar to discomfort, and discomfort is also just mind. The statement "Wisdom associated with the five consciousnesses, therefore it is not a non-conceptual view" indicates that the correct view is also essentially a concept, and this is just mind, so only mind can connect the root of virtue. Being free from desire from the desire realm and lands exists in maintaining equanimity of mind, and the collection of five consciousnesses is not maintained in equanimity because it faces outward. Therefore, that is also not just mind. Not being in accordance with mindfulness is the cause of mind, so it only exists in mind, and not in the collection of five consciousnesses, because they are essentially non-conceptual. Death is the cessation and interruption of the activity of the five senses, and there is no state that is consistent with the subsequent consciousness, so that also only exists in mind. Speaking of mistaken birth: Birth is also just mind. Since mind is also associated with the three feelings, it is not known in which feeling state death and birth exist. Therefore, for feeling, it is mentioned that "death, transference, and birth are neutral," while other feelings are clear, which means they have the characteristic of pleasure. Since they arise when conceptualized, they are both beneficial and harmful. Clear means not suffering. In order to indicate that reasoning contrary to what was said above is close. Clear consciousness is not suitable for death and birth, because those states are different, so it does not exist. In the third dhyana, sentient beings only have the mind of approaching death and birth, but in the actual state, there is neither pleasure nor pain. Generally speaking, all consciousnesses undergo death and birth, but, for that consciousness, it is also mentioned that "without one-pointed mind, there is no it." Birth in the desire realm
