One does not smell, taste, or touch what is touched, because one is free from attachment to coarse food. One looks at forms and listens to sounds, because they are not food. If one approaches and moves even without seeing, then why does the sutra say, "The eye sees forms"? Therefore, it is said, "It is spoken of as the most obvious," that is, it is said that the eye, etc., are directly perceived, so it is very easy to cut off. Also, seeing the shape of a lute and approaching its sound, or hearing the sound of a woman and approaching her form, that is only the mind's approach and movement. The so-called "door of separation between the senses and objects" is like "the eye sees forms" and "the ear hears sounds," and so on. Otherwise, after the eye sees forms, it would become nonsense to say, "Approaching the sounds of a pleasant place." The so-called "determined by continuity" refers to the continuity of sentient beings. It is impossible for there to be only one pleasant place for one person, like the precious queen of a wheel-turning king. The so-called "not an object of focus," why? Because that form is like a pleasant place for some, but not for others. Being free from attachment also focuses on defilement, because the approach and movement of equanimity is ultimately with outflows. Because of familiarizing oneself with those approaches and movements, the path of application becomes the approach and movement of pleasant intention. The path of no interruption and the path of liberation are included in the very nature of dhyana. Also, how many of these are endowed with the desire realm? And of those, how many have what as their object of focus? That is, how many focus on desire, how many focus on form, and how many focus on the formless? Similarly, it should be said up to those endowed with the formless, that is, those endowed with the form realm. Of those, how many have what as their object of focus? How many are endowed with the formless realm? Of those, how many have what as their object of focus?

It is called. When analyzing in this way, it is only necessary to determine the form of the body. In the desire realm, there are all three feelings such as pleasure, and all six objects such as form. In the first and second dhyanas, there are pleasure and equanimity. From there up to the peak of existence, there is only equanimity. In all four dhyanas, there are no smells and tastes. In the formless realm, there are none of the five objects such as form. Among them, how all the feelings such as pleasure belonging to the desire realm and the form realm exist, they all take the three realms as their object. The approximation of the sphere of infinite space is equanimity, taking the object of the fourth dhyana and one's own ground as the object. In the actual entities of the formless realm, one's own higher ground is the object, not the lower ground. Taking the lower ground as the object, and virtue and affliction, taking one's own ground and the higher ground as the object, both are as they are. Some say that it refers to those teachers who take interruption as their object. Individually, the objects are form, sound, taste, touch, and dharma sphere, because they are objects in the form of their respective kinds. Taking the aggregate as the object is taking bondage as the object. Here, taking the formless realm as the object means taking the contaminated dharma included in the word realm. It will be known below, meaning that the virtue of the formless entity, the object of practice is not the contaminated lower ground. Others say that there are also mental activities that take the uncontaminated dharma as their object, but they are not explained here. Taking cessation and the path as the object, corresponding to wrong view and doubt, and corresponding to the desire for virtuous dharma. Ah! I have attained Nirvana! Thinking like this. Among them, there are three belonging to the desire realm. There are two belonging to the first and second dhyanas. There is one belonging to the third and fourth dhyanas. There is only one belonging to the formless realm, which is said to take correspondence as the object. Not obtaining the virtuous mind that walks in the form realm refers to the unobstructed. The ground of the first and second dhyanas is the affliction that takes its own ground as the object.
