is not existent. Therefore, contact is another entity other than the faculties, objects, and consciousnesses, because it is shown separately. If the objects, faculties, and consciousnesses that are the same as this, these six internal sources, six external sources, and six consciousnesses that are independent of each other are shown separately. Those that depend on the same thing and are interdependent, because the collection of contacts has been mentioned, it is not the entity of another thing. However, it is not contradictory to show it separately from the objects, faculties, and consciousnesses, if it is thought that the phrase "if consciousness" is used extensively. The objects and faculties are the same as this, so they do not depend on consciousness. Consciousness is not without objects and faculties, because they are the cause of consciousness. A cause can exist without a result, but a result cannot exist without a cause, because it depends on it to arise. Therefore, whatever is called the collection of six consciousnesses must be shown separately. Like objects and faculties, there is no consciousness that has not become contact, and no consciousness that does not depend on objects and faculties. Therefore, the phrase "the three have already been shown" refers to the objects, faculties, and consciousnesses. Saying contact is meaningless, because the faculties, objects, and consciousnesses themselves are contact. If these have already been shown, it would be meaningless to show the collection of six contacts again, which is not what we want. Therefore, it must be admitted that contact is another entity different from the aggregation. Regarding the question of "what is the entity of cause and effect," name and form are produced earlier, and eye consciousness is produced later. They are the entity of cause and effect, so only they are considered the entity of contact. Those eyes and so on that have become cause and effect are shown to be the collection of internal sources, external sources, and consciousnesses themselves. Those faculties, objects, and consciousnesses that arise together, and those that are separated from each other and arise earlier and later, the one who says this is the teacher Pal. The answer to this is, if the phrase "faculties and objects without consciousness" appears extensively, that is the answer.
