Arising is definitely arising. That is also the realm of nirvana without remainder, because having gone there, there is no returning. Precisely because of that, it is said that the cessation of all conditioned phenomena. It is also said that the path should be abandoned in the same way as seeing. Therefore, it is said that all conditioned phenomena. Nirvana with remainder is not all conditioned phenomena, so it is not accepted here. There is no contradiction with the four alternatives here, because the four alternatives are stated for attainment. Because there is no attainment for nirvana without remainder. Because these exist, they are with definite arising, like having wealth. Others say that the word "self" again must refer to conditioned phenomena, not just with definite arising, because that is also the characteristic of the path. Therefore, having definite arising is a synonym for all conditioned dharmas of conditioned phenomena. syādiṣyata ibeti citayukta miṣyate. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) If someone says that distinguishing with "having defilements" is meaningless, because there too one only wants to ascertain conditioned phenomena themselves, so the aggregates of appropriation are conditioned phenomena themselves. Causing to arise also widely refers to suffering and origin. The teacher Āryadeva says that nirvana here refers to approaching quiescence like a lamp going out, that is, non-analytical cessation, and the cessation of permanence itself, and those with the nature of non-arising, but not analytical cessation. Impermanence itself is the cessation of impermanence, not something else. That is also conditioned, and being associated with permanence cannot have definite arising. It is thought that non-analytical cessation is not all conditioned phenomena. Because it has a cause, it is with a basis, because what exists by its karma is the basis, that is, the cause. It is a synonym for "completely covering." Cause and effect exist here because they are before and after, and because they are subtle and coarse. Karma means that the basis exists, or arises from it.

O. Those causes, etc., are those that possess causes. Because the word "ground" is seen in many meanings in the scriptures, it is specifically said to be "possessing causes." This is the word for cause. The word "year" in "year" is the word for "ground" here, it is the word for self-nature, and it should be known that it is not the word for cause. Isn't it the same in other aspects as well? In the scriptures, the word "ground" is seen in five meanings: self-nature, being in accordance with the object, cause, and complete grasping. Among them, for self-nature, as it is said: The Elder Ānanda said: "Venerable one, how should I advise these newly ordained monks? How should I instruct them accordingly? How should I teach them the Dharma?" Ānanda, you should have these newly ordained monks hold the ground, you should have them read the ground. Like this, here it is self-nature, it should be understood. How to obtain the ground and be in accordance with it, that is the self-nature of the ground, it should be understood. What are the knowable dharmas? It is said: All dharmas as they are Knowing with wisdom, this is knowing the object as it is. On what ground is there attachment to the accompanying afflictions, on this ground there is also anger's accompanying afflictions, this is having. What are the dharmas that possess the ground? All conditioned dharmas, this is knowing to possess causes. How, relying on something that is manifested and fully known, therefore the monk attains peace, the ground is extinguished, the cycle of birth ceases, that is no rebirth, this is knowing the cause is extinguished. Abandoning the ground of fields, the ground of houses, the ground of shops, the ground of wealth, and complete grasping, this is knowing complete grasping. Therefore, the word "ground" has many meanings, and how is it known here to be the meaning of self-nature? That is the same with the other aspect as well. Also, what are the dharmas without ground? It is said that they are unconditioned dharmas, those are also without self-nature.
