It is for oneself. It should be known that the word 'base' describes self-nature. Also, for those that possess self-nature, object, and hold all causes, all of them are the word 'base,' which is the word of self-nature. Thus, these are the verbal expressions of conditioned dharmas, because the objects to be expressed are the same. Otherwise, all conditioned things are with a base. As it is said in the commentary: "Also, those conditioned things themselves, which are the contaminated aggregates of grasping, are also those." If it is said that, except for the path, all conditioned things are said to be contaminated, hasn't this been said before? This is true, but here it is to show other certainties of the names of those alone. If all conditioned things are said to be aggregates, then what is called the contaminated aggregate is the aggregate of grasping, and it is also the uncontaminated aggregate. Therefore, this was composed in order to determine the name by understanding through meaning. What will this accomplish? Whatever are the aggregates of grasping are also aggregates, because there is no difference in the meaning of piling up for things like form. There are also those that are only aggregates but not aggregates of grasping, which are the uncontaminated aggregates. Those are not produced from the aggregates of grasping, nor do they depend on the aggregates of grasping, nor do the aggregates of grasping arise from those. The aggregates of grasping such as desire are only given the name of afflictions, because those hold birth in the three realms, or because the karma that throws existence is the cause of grasping. Because they are produced from those, they are the aggregates of grasping. If, for the moment, because those are the cause of the same kind and the result of maturation, some that are related to afflictions and of the same kind, and some that are unspecified, can be considered to be born from grasping, but how can it be said that some that are of the same kind as contaminated virtuous dharmas and some that are unspecified are born from grasping? The accumulation of merit, non-merit, and immovable karma

Because you are conditioned by ignorance, and those with outflows but not afflicted are the ripening fruit, the masculine action fruit, and the lordly fruit of that. The formations of merit, which are in accordance with seeking different kinds of enjoyment of existence, and the avadānas (Sanskrit: avadāna, Romanized Sanskrit: avadāna, literal meaning: parable) that seek in accordance with that, are also the ground of that, the definite arising, and the views that arise from all sides, and being together with that, are called the cause of completely abandoning ignorance. Or, appropriation is the aggregates. If you ask, how is it appropriation? Answer: Because it depends on appropriation, like the son of a king. Because of the power of appropriation, it is devoted to other objects and realms, that is, it is the meaning of entering. The aggregates of the Arhats also depend on appropriation, because the form aggregate changes due to the power of harm seized by afflictions, and because the mind and mental factors that are in accordance with them arise. Or, the appropriations of those are the great elements, which are the aggregates of appropriation. From the outflows in the continuum of the Arhats, appropriations of other continuums can also arise, that is, they increase through the door of objects. Others say that appropriation is also due to appropriation, such as the venerable Ānanda, if there were no appropriation, there would be no thought of "I." Those are also other appropriations, and because they are the mind aggregate, they are called the aggregates of appropriation, which are the collection of grasping. For the outflowless, there is the thought of "I." Strife means affliction. Because of strife, it is strife, and in order to explain the reason for that, it is said: because it harms self and others. In the world, whatever harms self and others is called strife, that is, war. When afflictions arise, they also harm self and others. The sutra says: If desire for desire arises, then it abides because it harms itself. It abides because it harms others and harms both. Others say that it is called strife because it disturbs the pure side. Together with strife
