Therefore, one should not be attached to it as in a mirror. One mirror, in broad daylight, does not produce two images. Otherwise, things should all arise equally. Therefore, since the various consciousnesses and sprouts, etc., that arise dependently have been established as existing, this should also be regarded as arising dependently. Even if an image appears, this cannot be used as an example for the arising after the interruption of forms in the intermediate state, etc., because it has been admitted that the image arises from its connection with form. In between, due to the causes of the eye and appearance, and without any obstruction from factors such as the face, the image will arise, and it is seen as existing on the basis of color, like smoke. It is like seeing moonlight, etc., when near a wall, etc. Furthermore, if it is said that an image arises solely from its connection with form, how can this be known? Because it does not arise when obscured. If there is no obstruction to the moon, etc., an image will arise in water, etc. It will also arise even when obscured. The intermediate state has no destination and no place, just as the aggregates cease and are born in another place, and the manner of going follows after dolls, etc. Therefore, saying that an image arises in offerings is not an example of the intermediate state. There are many such statements as "བྱཱ་གྷ་ཏཱ་ཡ་སམྦརྟྟ་ཏེ་ (Tibetan), (Sanskrit Devanagari), (Sanskrit Romanization), (Literal Chinese meaning)," but because of avoiding too much discussion, it is not analyzed in detail. The reason for this detailed explanation here is that for those who have doubts, they have admitted it themselves and have argued it separately. Because it is not continuous, it will be explained in detail. If the image belongs to the continuum of form, then it should arise only in connection with form and not in connection with the continuum of the mirror. Because it belongs to another continuum, it should not arise in connection with other causes. Because they arise simultaneously, the image is not the continuum of form. Because whatever belongs to a certain continuum is not seen to arise simultaneously, like a seed and a sprout. Just as the continuum of the dying existence and the arising existence are not simultaneous.

In the detailed explanation of the term "Continuum," when illustrating with the example of entering through continuum, the example is not appropriate because the image is not permanent, thus by reverting back. What is the main cause of the image? It is the mirror, etc., because the image follows them. For example, if a sword is placed tilted, the image will also appear tilted and long; if the sword is placed upright, the image will appear the same way. If someone says that there is a second cause, which is not the main factor, such as semen and blood, etc., that is why it is mentioned, "any of the main causes." If someone says that only semen and blood, etc., are the main ones, because the existence of birth is accomplished by relying on them, that is why it is mentioned, "external semen and blood, etc." Others say that because it is dissimilar, it is not an appropriate example. Because the image will disappear as the cause changes, but when the aggregates at the time of death cease, it does not cause the aggregates belonging to birth to disappear. If that were the case, the continuum of sentient beings would be interrupted. If the image appears like a form, then the existence of birth does not arise from the existence of death in that way either. Otherwise, if cows, etc., die, only cows, etc., would be born. Because the image arises due to dependence on the cause, even from a single mirror, multiple images of houses, etc., do not arise. Similarly, from one continuum of aggregates, multiple continuums of aggregates do not arise simultaneously, so this example is not appropriate. Some say this. "Because it is spoken from the song" means that it is spoken by your own words. Regarding "They do not recite this sutra," etc., although other sects that slander the intermediate existence, etc., are well known in other sects, because the four collections have declined, there is more suspicion that it was added later, so it is not taken as a reliable source, because they are not included in the scope of those scriptures. "Three places" refers to the three causes. "Barren" refers to birth. "Unsuitable field" refers to not being able to conceive. "Having menstruation" refers to being able to conceive, but menstruation
