It is done. That which is called "except for the co-existent cause alone," because it is not the nature of mind and mental factors, therefore they do not have the co-existent cause. That which is called "afflicted ones and others," are the afflicted ones, those born from maturation, the remainders, and the objects of the noble ones. Among them, that which is called "afflicted ones," the form of the afflicted ones and the formations that are not associated with the mind of the afflicted ones, are from the four causes except for the co-existent cause and the maturation cause. That which is called "born from maturation," should be connected with the phrase "from the four causes except for the co-existent cause and the pervasive cause." These are the form born from maturation and the non-associated ones born from maturation. That which is called "the remainders are from three," the remaining form and the non-associated ones, except for maturation and co-existence, and the pervasive cause, the remaining co-emergent, equal share, and the efficient cause, these three arise from. That which is called "the first of the undefiled is from two," the first undefiled form and the non-associated ones, are from the efficient cause and the co-emergent cause. That which is called "there is no dharma that arises from one cause," because the co-emergent and efficient causes do not confuse each other, and because the co-emergent cause does not depend on the efficient cause, therefore it would be constantly produced. Here, if one considers how many natures of cause are on the dharmas of causes? There are from six natures of cause to one nature of cause. Among them, the six natures of cause are, for example, the past and present arising non-virtuous ones, and the mind and mental factors that are pervasive. There are five natures of cause, namely the past and present arising non-virtuous ones, and the mind and mental factors that are pervasive, and the pervasive unspecified, and the virtuous with outflows and the non-virtuous ones, and the non-associated pervasive ones. There are four natures of cause, namely the past and present arising non-virtuous and virtuous.

Those with tainted intention, and non-associated formations, and non-pervasive unwholesome, and non-associated with mind, pervasive indeterminate, and untainted mind and mental factors, and future wholesome and wholesome with taints. It has three natures: the nature of past and present arising indeterminate, and indeterminate non-associated with mind, and non-pervasive untainted non-form, and future unwholesome and wholesome with taints, and form, and wholesome, and unwholesome and non-associated, and indeterminate untainted, and mind and mental factors. It has two natures: indeterminate future untainted and form, and indeterminate untainted and non-associated. It has one nature: unconditioned dharmas. The extensive explanation of cause and effect is complete. Previously, without causes and conditions, the born cannot produce the produced and the producer. As it is said, for causes, they are explained from the perspective of number, self-nature, and result. Now, for conditions, it is necessary to explain them from the perspective of number, self-nature, and function. Therefore, the question is asked, what are the conditions? Conditions are said to be four. From where are they said? It is said from the Sutra Pitaka, or from the Abhidharma manifested by myself? Therefore, the Sutra Pitaka is mentioned. It will be explained in this way: it is explained solely by the Bhagavan, not by the Abhidharma manifested by myself. Similar conditions are the conditions themselves. Here, the explanation is given by the condition of things, which is taking the similarity. Although all natures are different, they do not go beyond the condition of things, thinking that they rely on the four types of conditions. Saying cause, saying five causes, for this, co-existent cause is only five, but it is not only co-existent cause that is five. Because they do not understand these, it is said that apart from the agent cause. How should it be understood that the agent cause is not a co-existent condition? It is said from the treatises

What is the co-existing cause? Answer: All conditioned dharmas. By mentioning conditioned dharmas, it is determined that the co-existing cause is those five. "Mind and mental events that have arisen, The last is not the same as the immediately preceding condition." Among them, by mentioning mind and mental events, and by excluding form and the unconditioned, it is to know that only mind and mental events are the immediately preceding condition. Also, why is the unconditioned a cause? Because it exists merely by not obscuring. Those distinctions about cause and condition are not included by the five causes and three conditions, asaṃskṛta (藏文:ཨ་སཾ་སྐྲྀ་ཏ་,梵文天城体:असंस्कृत,梵文罗马拟音:asaṃskṛta,汉语字面意思:unconditioned), in order to include them, the efficient cause and the dominant condition are distinguished. Because things are diverse, so are the distinctions, i.e., the efficient cause, etc. "Mind and mental events that have arisen, The last is not the same as the immediately preceding condition." Among them, the unconditioned is the meaning of inclusion. By mentioning mind and mental events, and by excluding form and the unconditioned, it is to know that only mind and mental events are the immediately preceding condition. Mind and mental events are divided into two types: the last and the non-last. The last refers to those after which mind and mental events no longer arise, such as when an Arhat enters parinirvana. The non-last refers to those after which mind and mental events will arise. Therefore, in order to know that by excluding the last, those with the latter are the immediately preceding condition, the non-last is mentioned. By saying "that have arisen," the future is excluded, and the past and present are included. "This condition is both equal and immediate," this shows that only mind and mental events have the meaning of being equal and immediate, while others do not, so for mind and mental events, it is the immediately preceding condition. The so-called "equal,"
