Those not initially obtained are neither holding nor producing fruits. Regarding this, Acharya Sangharaksha's commentary is fabricated, so there's no need to strive to refute it. The fourth case is "other than those aspects," meaning: the state of detachment from desire in the desire realm, because it has already been held, is no longer held; and because the action of detachment from desire has declined, it no longer produces. For the obscured and unstated, it is also the same, which will be elaborated later. In questioning, the four cases should be combined with the attainment of Arhatship and the complete loss of it. The obscured and unstated, because they have the cause of equal share, are holding but not producing. The fourth case is elaborated: the first case is those who have attained and possess detachment from desire at the peak of existence, which are all the last abandonments. The second case is those who have completely fallen from detachment from desire at the peak of existence, which are all the first attainments. The third case is the remaining states of detachment from desire at the peak of existence. The fourth case is other than those aspects, that is, those who have not fallen from detachment from desire at the peak of existence, which is the concluding statement. Mentioning the obscured and unstated should be combined with the afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation, that is, those that are practiced in the form and formless realms. For the time being, whatever is produced is also held. Because the cause of equal share, which is unobscured and unstated, exists until complete Nirvana. There are also those who hold but do not produce, that is, all the aggregates of an Arhat. Because at that time, there will be definite liberation from all aggregates, so there is no fruit of the same cause, therefore it is only holding and not producing. By the determination of the object, it is each moment. Previously, it was said that the attainments without an object, and the cause of equal share in the continuum. Now it is said that the mind and mental factors with an object, and the cause of equal share in each moment. In the aftermath of a virtuous mind: virtuous mind...

Because of the arising of wholesome mind, as the fruit of the concordant cause, whatever is apprehended, does not arise after it, so it only apprehends the fruit, but does not produce the fruit. The second is the meaning of "opposite", that is, when afflictions and unspecified follow, the wholesome mind manifests, then the previously ceased wholesome mind only produces the fruit, but does not apprehend it, because it has already been apprehended. The fourth is "except for those cases", that is, when afflictions or unwholesome follow, afflictions or unspecified manifest, then the wholesome mind does not apprehend the fruit, because it has already been apprehended. Because of the interruption of dissimilar minds, it does not produce the fruit either. Unwholesome and so on should also be applied in the same way. The first case is when an unwholesome mind follows, wholesome or unspecified manifests. The second is the opposite case. The third case is when an unwholesome mind follows, only unwholesome arises. The fourth case is when wholesome or unspecified follows, wholesome or unspecified manifests. The equipotent cause of obscured and unspecified, and unobscured and unspecified, should also be applied in the same way. The equipotent cause of unobscured is also the unwholesome to be abandoned by seeing suffering, because the fruit of the concordant cause is not only unobscured and unspecified. One is produced by the past, meaning that only the past can produce, not that there is only one past, therefore it is said that the ripening cause only produces the fruit by the past. Why? Because it is impossible to ripen simultaneously or immediately, the ripening cause depends on the continuum. Relying on this, so it is the support. The fruit of the support is the fruit of the support, that is, whatever relies on what, it is its fruit. The fruit of fabrication is the fruit of fabrication, starting from the mindfulness of the impure.

It is like understanding that the ground is the place of non-arising. Other combinations should also be combined in the same way. Mentioning impurity here is for the sake of example. The result of accumulation is the result of accumulation. The result of cultivation is the result of cultivation. Some say that the result of dependence is included in the result of autonomy. Others say that everything is included in the result of the agent and autonomy. Among them, what dharma, etc., is explained in detail, because many dharmas cannot be explained in detail one by one, so all are established as the four aggregates. Therefore, in summary, it is said that only these four aspects of dharma exist. The so-called afflictions refer to non-virtuous and obscured but undeclared dharmas such as desire, as well as those that correspond to them. The so-called those born from Vipāka are those whose nature is the result of Vipāka. The first uncontaminated dharmas are forbearance of knowing dharma in suffering and those that correspond to it. The so-called undeclared dharmas other than Vipāka refer to conduct, skillful activities, and all transformations. The so-called virtuous dharmas are contaminated and uncontaminated dharmas. As it is said, except for those born from the rest, because they are born from the remainder, they are born from the remainder. The so-called afflicted dharmas, etc., are explained in detail, because Vipāka is not an afflicted dharma, so among those who generate afflictions, the cause of Vipāka is excluded. Among them, mental co-emergence and mind are the co-emergent and corresponding causes of mind and mental factors. Similarly, mental factors should also be explained separately. The equal share cause is the pure dharma belonging to its own class, those born earlier. The pervasive cause is those born earlier that pervade their own ground. The acting cause is, as appropriate, dharmas other than oneself. The so-called excluding the pervasive cause, the pervasive cause is affliction.
