The statement "there are also things born from karma" means that there are also things that cause (results). This explains that, apart from non-composite things, there are also lordly results for both the acting cause, the agent, the neutral, and the two forms of things. As it says: 'The non-prior arisen composite is, only the composite's lordly result.' This is how it is explained. For example, regarding the five aggregates of consciousness, the ten sense bases, such as the eye, are the causes that produce the consciousnesses of the eye, etc., and since they are not other than the acting cause, they exist as causes connected with the ripening result. Mind and phenomena are also the causes of the mind's consciousness, being equal parts, pervasive, and corresponding, but they are not what is grasped. Regarding the "vessel world," the vessel world is unspecified, not subject to desire, and produced by virtuous and non-virtuous actions, but it is not a ripening result, because the ripening result is uncommon. Because it is defined as "sentient being." Since there is no other cause, it is only the acting cause. Such things should be combined and understood, the ripening result of virtuous dharmas is pleasing, and non-virtuous dharmas are the opposite, and so on. The phrase "equal part, pervasive," means that the result of a similar cause is similar to the cause, therefore, the result of a similar cause should be determined as being only the nature of equal part and pervasive, but it is not only the result of a similar cause, because the agent and the lordly result are also theirs. The statement "the agent is of the two" means that only the result of the agent is of the two, for example, the co-emergent and corresponding causes, because they only have the ability to act on the co-emergent result, they are the co-emergent result. The lordly result also becomes theirs, but since that is not the agent's, it is not intended to be said here. Because it is combined with verses, in order to separately explain the word agent, it is the agent's.

Because the entity is not other, it is extensively discussed. The function of a person is not other than actions, deeds, things to be done, and movements. Actions are also not different from those who possess actions, therefore it is said that the person himself is the function of the person, and its result is said to be the person. Since there is no person of inner action, what is this "person's action"? Whatever action of any dharma, that is its person's action. If that is the case, one should say the author of the dharma, how can one say the author of the person? Because the famous person's action in the world is called person's action, therefore here also the person's action is similar to the person's action, so it is the person's action. Taking the person who is fully examined externally as an example, it is called person's action, for example, like a crow's foot it is called crow's foot, like a drunken elephant it is called a drunken elephant. Teacher Sangharakshita says: The function of a person is the dharma of having ability, and it is thought that any action is the function of a person. He said that the function of a person is to project the result. In this way, the function of a person is also suitable for uninterrupted birth and birth at other times, but it is not suitable for simultaneous birth. For simultaneous birth, there is no result of the function of a person that is all the same, because the result of self-nature does not produce self-nature, and if those who have not abandoned project the result, then it will become multiple results. The dharma of ability is the reality of the cause. The fact that only the state of the reality of the cause projects the result does not indicate a difference. Therefore, both will equally fall into error. Are there others as well? It is extensively discussed, are there also equal shares, pervasive, maturation, and authors? Or are there only the two that are connected with simultaneous birth and similarity? It is extensively discussed that there are others as well, such as equal share causes, etc., for equal share and pervasive causes, etc., immediately following

Having a puruṣakāra-phala (生果), it is not a nisyanda-phala (等流果). Why is it said that the puruṣakāra-phala (生果) is only from the saha-bhū-hetu (俱生因) and samanantara-hetu (等起因)? Because the saha-bhū (俱生) and samanantara (等起) are only those two, not the previous ones. Whatever is the phala (果), it is established as similar to the hetu (因). The nisyanda (等流), sabhāga (同分), and sarvatraga-hetus (遍行因) are similar and saha-ja (俱生), because the other is a puruṣakāra-phala (生果), so it is said that way. Not all sabhāga-hetus (同分因) have a samanantara-ja puruṣakāra-phala (等起生果), because the death of an arhat is unreasonable. For the saha-bhū (俱生) and samanantara-hetus (等起因), there is no obstacle. Some kartṛ-hetus (作者因) have a puruṣakāra-phala (生果), but not all. It is said that it is except for the vipāka-hetu (异熟因). Why? Because the puruṣakāra-phala (生果) is saha-ja (俱生) or samanantara-ja (等起生), but the vipāka (异熟) is not like that. That only depends on the continuum, not samanantara (等起) or simultaneous. Others say that there is also a vast arising, such as fields and other activities being the same and prosperous, some having grains and other prosperity, and some not being like that. In the view of those who do not admit that a puruṣakāra-phala (生果) arises from a vipāka-hetu (异熟因), it is said that it is not from the pull of previous karma, for example. Therefore, not only saha-ja (俱生) and samanantara-ja (等起生), but there is also a share of the puruṣakāra-phala (生果). There is no distinction for that example. The sabhāga (同分) and sarvatraga-hetus (遍行因) are said to be the samanantara-ja (等起生) as the puruṣakāra-phala (生果). That alone is not the puruṣakāra-phala (生果), but it can also be a nisyanda-phala (等流果) and adhipati-phala (士用果). Just as that has no nisyanda-phala (等流果), similarly, it is also a puruṣakāra-phala (生果) or adhipati-phala (士用果), and so on.
