These are the lands. Nirvana is contrary to entering, and the path is contrary to the arising of afflictions, so if asked: how are all dharmas the cause of being able to do? Because it abides in the nature of not obstructing arising. There are two kinds of non-arising of results: because there is no cause, and because there is an obstruction. Conversely, because there is a cause, and because there is no obstruction, so it is arising, therefore, from abiding in the nature of not obstructing, it is established as the cause of being able to do other than oneself. If causes and conditions gather, the dharma that arises without a moment's interruption is called arising. "Ignorance of all leaks." In the extensive explanation, ignorance is the main cause of the arising of leaks, therefore, those ignorant leaks, those arising do not arise in the knowledge, because the knowledge abandons the cause of those ignorance. The light of the sun also overwhelms the stars, so it is not the object of the eyes, so if seeing does not arise from this, if asked: how is it the cause of being able to do other than oneself? The answer is: for those who are not in the process of arising, because they abide in the nature of not obstructing, they cannot be called able to do, so what is it? It is called arising, in the extensive explanation. If causes and conditions gather, the dharma that arises without interruption is called arising, arising depends on the action of arising, in order to generate it, all dharmas abide in the nature of not obstructing. Therefore, just like the future, because there is no obstacle to the action in the present nature, at that moment it is called arising. For the present thing that has obstacles, it is not called arising. "The abilities that can obstruct" refers to, for example, knowledge for the arising of leaks, like the light of the sun for generating the seeing of stars. For example, for the arising of all dharmas is Nirvana, in the extensive explanation, for Nirvana and those who have the nature of non-arising, there is no ability to obstruct the arising of actions, because there is no entity. "Hell and so on" refers to hell and hungry ghosts and animals.

The mention of "etc." means that people, etc., can sometimes become obstacles. Nirvana, etc., even if they don't exist, are like existing, and in the same way, they will become unable to obstruct. Whether they exist or not, it doesn't matter; there is no difference in nature between being able to obstruct and not obstructing, and not being able to do and not doing, because both are the same in this respect. Some say that all dharmas have the ability to obstruct each other. Where one exists, there is no room for a second. If it exists elsewhere, then there will be no opportunity for each other there either. Thus, all dharmas are definitely grasped by each other, and thus established as things to be done. For formless things, time and support, etc., must also be determined. śabdāndānuprapadanayogena vā. Here, it is generally explained that whatever is the main thing to be done, and whatever is not the main thing to be done, are all taken into account, and thus the cause of what is to be done other than oneself is explained. What is the main thing to be done will appear in detail, and therefore it is called the cause of what is to be done. Relying on the action itself is the cause, because it has the nature of producing action, not just staying in the nature of not obstructing. For example, from eye consciousness, eye and form, etc., of which eye is the determining cause, and form is the supporting cause. Eye consciousness, etc., then make judgments. The cause is the similarity with the nature of the seed, so it is the cause of subsequent grasping. What arises simultaneously is the cause of a friend. For ear, etc., there are also the cause of support and place, etc. The teacher only spoke of the cause of support and place, because the sutra only spoke of a part. As for the body and food, etc., what should be said? It should be connected to having the ability to produce, because from the arising of food, due to the complete transformation of enjoyment, etc., food arises. Just as sprouts, etc., arise from seeds, etc., seeds and sprouts

I, leaves and nodes, etc., are sprouts, leaves and nodes, etc. Or, the sound of "etc." refers to the aggregates of form, etc. Also, the eyes, etc., become the operative cause of eye consciousness, etc., without obstruction, in the manner of two actions, like co-emergent causes, etc. If it is not in the manner of being unobstructed, then it must be explained what the main factor of the operative cause is that has the ability to produce. If it is said to be in the manner of an agent, then this should not be said, because it exists in an unobstructed manner. Therefore, the eyes, etc., are the producers of consciousness, and the seventh other cause should be stated. If co-emergent causes, etc., also become operative causes, then this should not be argued, because there are extensive statements. Due to the existence of contrary conditions, phenomena arise, and because there are no contrary conditions, they are not produced simultaneously. Then, two causes do not produce phenomena, because the cause is incomplete and there are contrary phenomena, what does this mean? To this, uncertainty is merely entering into other phenomena due to one's own causal conditions, and the contrary cause is the main cause. For those causes that produce, if there is no obstruction, then they arise in the manner of a cause. All phenomena, in an unobstructed manner, without obstruction, are considered to be causes. It is not in the manner of an agent, therefore this is not an argument. Others say that not only does it exist in a manner of not creating obstacles, but all operative causes have the ability to produce everything. Good and non-good, that which corresponds to correct view is good, and that which corresponds to wrong view, etc., is non-good. Similarly, others should also be understood, such as encountering ash medicine and thorns, etc., is a cause of no pleasure, that is a direct cause of happiness, and suffering is a cause through indirect means. Similarly, past phenomena and future phenomena
