The meaning of "having explained the limbs" is that the non-associated dharmas have been explained through the doors of characteristics, distinctions, and analysis. In order to connect cause and condition, it is said, "If there are no cause and condition," and so on. What is said? If one asks in detail: What are the causes? What are the conditions? If one asks: What is the difference between causes and conditions? Some say: There is no difference at all. Because it has been said: The Blessed One said that there are two causes and two conditions for generating right view, namely, hearing the voice of others and inwardly applying proper attention. Therefore, cause and condition, as well as acting cause and reason, these are different names. If there is no difference, why are they shown separately? This is in relation to the beings to be tamed, just like realms and places. In this way, conditions are not shown separately, but causes are shown separately. "Acting cause and co-emergent cause," when speaking extensively, the two particles "and" and "namely" are, in order, to include everything and to determine what is to be taken. That is, the acting cause and the co-emergent cause, these two, are determined to be pervasive of all conditioned phenomena. "Whatever six are used as terms in this treatise are causes," because of obtaining, it is a cause, meaning that it causes things to obtain arising. The action itself is a cause, that is, a cause. Co-emergence is also like that, or, the cause of co-emergent phenomena is the co-emergent cause. The cause of equal division is the cause of equal division. The cause of corresponding phenomena is the corresponding cause. Pervasive action is also like that, because it is a cause, it is the pervasive cause. The ripening cause is the ripening cause. Furthermore, if the Blessed One did not reveal the causes, how are they used as terms in this treatise? The Vaibhashikas say: It is not like that, there is nothing that the Blessed One did not reveal that is explicitly stated in the Dharma. If, because of destruction, it is not apprehended by its own nature, but to the beings to be tamed,
