In what is called "The Meaning of the Doctrine," regarding those with different bodies and different perceptions, just as the word "for example" indicates, here too, because the edge is mentioned, it is understood to include those and so on. For example, like the gods of the Brahma realm, and like the gods of the Clear Light realm, the word "for example" in the sutra is also only for the purpose of indicating, this is what is seen. Some think that the meditations and formless realms other than the Peak of Existence are mind. Like those beings who are intoxicated by the roof and whose minds are confused, because they generate the power of afflictions similar to that, they die and transmigrate from those places, therefore, they will destroy themselves. The Peak of Existence is not like that, therefore there is neither self-death nor being killed by others, thus the explanation of life is finished. At its end, the characteristics are shown, because "life and characteristics, etc." appear, therefore only the characteristics should be shown, the characteristics are birth, etc., which appear extensively. The so-called "manifest as conditioned" means to manifest as conditioned. It will be shown like this, because these make the nature of conditioned things clear, so they are the characteristics of conditioned things. The opposite is what does not exist. Among them, because birth causes that dharma to arise, for saying "birth causes that dharma to arise," here it is said that all formations are the birth of birth, here it is clearly intended to mean the special birth, caused by unobstructed causes. Because it completely grasps things, therefore birth causes things, therefore here it causes the completely grasped thing. Some are the main conditions for the thing of dharma. The so-called "abiding causes it to abide" means that for what is born, without interruption, projecting the fruit, it causes it to abide without obstruction. There, the closest cause is abiding, therefore it will be said that abiding causes it to abide. The so-called "aging causes it to age" means to make it weak, it is a synonym for making it obviously inclined towards destruction. Master Vasubandhu said, for the formations of sentient beings, the later continuum makes it different from the previous one.
