In short, others also say extensively that those who manifest and pursue meaning, and those who have not obtained it, what need is there to say for the noble ones? Because it is to be accomplished with great effort, this means that it is not to be accomplished with great effort, this statement is the opposite. Therefore, even if familiar, it cannot be obtained without seeking. So what is it? Obtaining this once, like the Pratimoksha vows in all circumstances, because it is obtained without having it before, the past cannot be obtained because there is no mind, and the future cannot be obtained either, therefore, only the present can be obtained first. In the second moment and so on, the past is also present, and the future is the same as the present. The past is the same as the past itself. As long as it is not abandoned, it is said that it means until it is completely not lost. Because there is no mind, the future cannot be obtained, like the divine eye and ear. That which is in accordance with the mind can obtain the future, because it is clear, like forbearance and so on. Because it is matter, the other is not. What is said, if one enters into meditation here, how is it born there? In the beginning and the end, it is born with a mind, therefore the nature of the five aggregates is the essence of Vipaka, this statement is a dispute. The state of having a mind is not called unconscious, because that is the wheel of the mind entering and leaving, the five aggregates are the real basis of Vipaka. Just being completely perfect, the form of unconsciousness also depends on the same kind. Similarly, the word "like" is widely used, just as from what place the mind and mental events are prevented, that is said to be the cessation of perception, similarly, from there is no place of birth, the mind and mental events that are free from desire are prevented, that is the cessation of cessation. In "the perception of peaceful abiding precedes", the mind dwells on the Sala tree, this is the idea of peace, which exists beforehand, so combine the words. Perception and feeling

Because of constantly arising and completely produced, it is in the cessation attainment, because it does not exist, it becomes the attention of quiescence. Then, even if it is a subtle net, after the attention of the peak of existence, one enters into samadhi in it. In this way, this is the attention that is preceded by the attention of quiescence. Abiding is abiding, which means staying. Or, because this causes it to abide, it is abiding. That refers to the attainment of non-perception. The so-called taking the attention of renunciation as the forerunner, renunciation is renunciation, that is, nirvana. The attention that thinks that it is renunciation on the fruit is the attention of renunciation. Or, because this causes liberation from samsara, it is liberation, that is, the path. Entering into samadhi in it, thinking that it is the path, is the attention of renunciation, and what precedes that attention is taking the attention of renunciation as the forerunner. The karma that causes birth in the realm of neither perception nor non-perception is, Because it is the most supreme of all, or because it is the ultimate of existence, it is called the peak of existence, like the top of a tree. Why is it that one does not enter into cessation attainment below the peak of existence? Because of turning away and cutting off the ultimate of the mind. That liberation is established by two causes, by turning away and cutting off the ultimate of the mind. If the lower ground is impure, then all objects of perception cannot turn away from entering into samadhi, nor can they cut off the ultimate, but above that ground, because there is mind, it will become an obstacle. This, in terms of the difference between good and so on, is only good. For those with afflictions, the unpredicted place is not regarded as quiescence by the noble ones, such as distraction and so on. If so, then how can one experience it in other instances? When this arises from the cessation attainment, is completely lost from being free from desire in the formless realm, and is born in pure concentration, and again obtains the peak of existence, at the time of that birth there

This cessation attainment, although obtained and completely lost, can perfect the fruition. As for "uncertain for the sake of fruition," if one directly realizes with the body, or one liberated from the two parts, and enters parinirvana here, then it only becomes the unripe fruit of that. Fruition is the four aggregates of the peak of existence, because there is no form aggregate. If it is said that the attainment of non-perception is only for ordinary beings, then this is only for noble ones. Why? Therefore, it is extensively said, "the ground of ordinary beings," etc. Ordinary beings who have attained the peak of existence manifestly cling to self in their mind-stream, and because that mind also ceases there, they do not enter into samadhi because they fear the cessation of self. If it is said that there is a similar fault in the attainment of non-perception, it is not so. They do not have a mind and mental factors that perceive self in form, so because there is form, they do not have the fear of "they will become selfless." If, at the peak of existence, the mind and mental factors also completely cease, then because there is no form, they will have the fear that "all of our selves will completely cease." Because it is generated by the power of the noble path, ordinary beings do not generate the cessation attainment, it should be connected in this way. How is it generated by the power of the noble path? It is because if one sees nirvana, then one has faith in it. Seeing nirvana means that in that cessation attainment, one generates faith through the door of the self-nature of ceasing mind and mental factors, but not if one has not seen nirvana. Ordinary beings have not seen with wisdom that nirvana is the peaceful nature of the cessation of consciousness, so they do not have faith in ceasing mind and mental factors, and because they do not have faith, ordinary beings do not enter into samadhi. The Abhidharma master said: Because they have not abandoned the bonds of that ground, they cannot generate it.
