For sentient beings, one should also consider the wisdom of equal destiny and undifferentiated attachment, and state it accordingly. As for "mutually different," for sentient beings of the same kind who are mutually different due to differences in their basis, they should also be distinguished by differences in kind and basis, because this is not within the scope of wisdom, so it is merely a nominal designation. The teacher Samantabhadra says: Since you acknowledge beings and birthplaces, why don't you acknowledge the root of good destinies and individuals? If you say it is because the Blessed One did not speak of it, then you should not acknowledge the equal destiny of non-sentient beings either, because the Blessed One did not speak of it. Someone says: How can grass and the like be considered other substances? This can be examined, because it is unreasonable for behavior and thoughts to be the same, so equal destiny should not be spoken of for grass and the like. The production of grass and the like depends on sentient beings, so only the equal destiny of sentient beings is stated. Both past actions and present efforts do not apply to grass and the like. The way to know that this itself exists as a substance is that wood, clods, drawings, illusions, and the like also have common colors and shapes. Some see it as being designated from imputation, because it is seen as being designated from the distinction of similarity, but it is not understood from mere similarity. Some think that relying on someone who has all the distinguishing qualities, it is designated only by someone, so all of this is unsurpassed, that is, relying on the distinction of one's own actions. As for beings and birthplaces, etc., because grass and the like do not have behavior and thoughts, etc., they do not want the same kind, and the birth that depends on sentient beings is the result of past actions and present occurrences, as previously stated. Here, no reason can be established by mere words. What is said to be designated near the distinction of similarity is just so, similarity and dissimilarity are different things, like rice and so on. If that is the case, then it is as explained by the great scholars. The teacher Samantabhadra says: If, like that, it does not depend on the moment of one and many, then mutually

It is said that different kinds are minor faults. The Sautrāntikas, regarding the different general meanings of words, establish them as the cause of non-different understanding, therefore it is said to be a refutation. That other cause does not exist, because it follows similarity, and there is no similar mind for similar understanding, so there is no similarity at all, like that, the appearance is not like that, nor does it become like that. Whatever becomes the cause of establishing as humans etc., differentiated by the difference of forms with changed shapes, are all of the same category, just like the same category of rice etc. Saying 'unconscious' as 'unconscious' is to distinguish between cessation and unconscious absorption. Therefore, it is extensively said to be in the realm of unconscious gods. Regarding the cessation of mind and mental factors, 'from where' is the remainder of the sentence. Or, this thing ceases mind and mental factors, so it is cessation, therefore it is extensively said by what means the future mind and mental factors. Also, saying one kind is fruition, one kind is to distinguish between arising from increase and arising from a co-emergent cause. The unconscious one, form is the fruition of unconscious absorption. The similar kind cannot be born. The life faculty and the similar kind are the fruition of the fourth dhyana with mind, and the remaining aggregates of the form realm are of both. Like the special dhyana, for example, some becoming one-sided, some great Brahma dwelling gods, those are called Brahma's attendants, like that, here also on one side of the great fruit, unconscious beings dwell. That place is the most excellent. From those, by what is born as the same kind, by what mind is connected, by what mind as a follower enters into unconsciousness, karma and birth and similarity, those with food etc. by the immediately preceding condition.
