It is called mind because it accumulates by means of the habit of dwelling in the habits of virtuous and non-virtuous dharmas. That which is called "becoming that nature" refers to the mind that has become the support of the past. Depending on the object that is now dependent, it is called consciousness. That which is called "depending on the senses" refers to depending on the six sources, such as the eye. Because these have objects, they are with objects, that is, they hold the object. That which is called "separating each one" refers to holding each one individually. How does it hold? Consciousness distinguishes the aspects of blue, etc., while the object itself is held by perception. Feeling experiences, and intention thinks. That which is called "being in harmony with others" refers to the same support, that is, the moment of the senses such as the eye, which are the support of consciousness, and they are in harmony with only those. Because the objects of all minds are not different, the objects are the same. Because everything arises in one way, the aspects are the same. The same substance is the same number. Therefore, such as "how" and so on are widely spoken. That which is called "vast and complete and possessing" means that vastness is completeness, that is, vastness and completeness. Being together with vastness and completeness is possessing vastness and completeness. Among them, for the time being, the vastness and completeness of the mind are, such as "each consciousness knows each, and the source of mind is also that," and so on. As for mental factors, starting from "feeling experiences" and ending with "the five mental factors." That is the entrance to mental factors. Because it is time to explain the non-associated formations, therefore, wanting to explain its characteristics, the non-associated formations are widely spoken. The word "also" is a collection, etc., and is the meaning of approaching and collecting. Second, the meaning of examining intention is, suppose dwelling and obtaining, etc., are from obtaining...

Thus, they are different. The dharmas such as acquisition are said to be those that are not related to the mind and its functions, and are not associated with the mind. This means that, unlike mental factors, they do not engage in perceiving objects together with the mind. The statement "not associated with the mind" is made so that it is known that it is of a different kind from the mind. For that very reason, form is of a different kind from the mind, so it does not obtain the name "associated." Only association with what is similar to oneself is possible, and there is no doubt about form, which is said to be not associated with what is similar to oneself. It is neither the very nature of form nor close to form. Mental factors are also of a different kind from it, so in order to eliminate the necessity of grasping what has no object, "not associated" is also stated. Unconditioned phenomena are also of a different kind from it, and since they have no object, "conditioned" is stated in order to abandon them. For that very reason, it is said that these conditioned phenomena are neither similarly associated with the mind nor are they the nature of form. This will be shown: one should not call only what is not similarly associated with the mind "not associated." Those that are conditioned, yet are not the nature of form, nor are similarly associated with the mind, are called "not associated." Others say that by stating "conditioned," unconditioned phenomena are excluded. By stating "not associated with the mind," similar associations are excluded. Here, "mind" is stated because the mind is the main thing, not because it is only not associated with the mind. If it were not so, then because it is not similarly associated with the mind, it would follow that it is not associated with the mind, because it is not similarly associated with its own nature. For that very reason, it is said, "nor is it the nature of form." If so, then the explanation of these teachings must be done, right? To this, "briefly" is stated. "To this" is for special distinction, referring to those dharmas. The word "briefly" means sequential, because it cannot be shown all at once. "Acquisition" is the word of the teaching. "Obtaining and possessing" is the word of the explanation. Although it is thought that the meaning of acquisition and possession are the same, acquisition
