Therefore, it will be known as wisdom. If one does not fear unpleasant consequences, then it will be known as ignorance, because not fearing is a category of ignorance. The reason for those two is referring to the two: fearing and not fearing. Some dharmas called secondary defilements, which are the cause of common behaviors such as knowledge and wrong knowledge, are shamelessness, which means doing all things that should not be done without any hesitation. Others say that the statement of relying on oneself is widespread, even if one thinks that one should not fall into faults, one still does not avoid faults, which is modesty. Seeing "this will be condemned by others," one still does not avoid faults, which is shamelessness. In order to explain that because it is the basis of many unwholesome things, the two are contradictory in one mind. Even so, two kinds of dependence are widely mentioned. Other self-natures should not depend on each other at the same time, because they are different objects. One would not say that dependence on oneself and others exists simultaneously, and so on. Because one wants to enter the category, one does not want them to enter at the same time, so there is no fault. Relying on oneself and not avoiding those faults is modesty, relying on others is shamelessness, because even if one relies on the Vipaka fruit, it will not become pure because of it. The teacher Samantabhadra says: This is because one does not value unpleasant consequences, so one thinks like this. Others say: Shamelessness arises from the condemnation of defilements. Still others say: Acting evilly alone and not avoiding it is modesty, entering the Sangha is shamelessness. Some say: The universal behavior is the cause of unwholesome Vipaka Not relying is shamelessness. All of these are universally behaving unwholesome minds, and there is no reliance on cause and effect, so these will also arise in one mind. Temporarily speaking, according to the first distinction, this statement is widespread, because it suppresses and acts through this, so it is respect. The object of respect is respect itself, that

Of the place, and the cherishing of the reason. This is the seventh of the place, or the seventh of the reason. Reverence and together with reverence and possessing, like possessing wealth. Its entity is possessing reverence itself. If there is something, then one cannot transcend the abodes of the Lama and the qualities, it is a Dharma arising from the mind. Possessing which Dharma will become possessing reverence, that is possessing reverence itself. Possessing reverence will fear places like the Lama, but not irreverence. Possessing fear is to control, but not to be fearless. Therefore, possessing what will become possessing fear and control, that is possessing fear and control itself. Regarding what should not be done, it refers to what is related to becoming fear and control. According to the second distinction, this is explained in detail. Observing oneself and being cautious of faults is knowing shame, observing others is being ashamed. Here also, there are two observations, which cannot exist in one mind, as explained extensively before. Some others think that relying on the supreme action of manifesting the meaning of pure intention is knowing shame, and the very purpose of obtaining the fruit of manifesting desire is being ashamed, which are not contradictory. Not being confused about cause and effect, the mind of virtue is universally practicing suffering in all actions, etc., thinking that shame will also arise in one mind. Joy and, refers to speaking with the thought that joy is not afflicted, therefore, joy is of two kinds, afflicted and non-afflicted, this is explained extensively. Non-afflicted joy is faith, and there are two kinds of faith, the nature of manifest trust and the nature of desire. Manifest trust is when desire arises for something, therefore the joy mentioned here is not the latter faith. All afflicted joy is not faith, and all those with faith are not joy, because the fruit is imputed from the cause. Joy is a cause close to truth.
