In the second and so on, there is no wavering. Thus, there are eight kinds of retinues: the retinue of the royal family, the retinue of Brahma, the retinue of Brahmins, the retinue of householders, the retinue of ascetics, the retinue of the Four Great Kings, the retinue of the Thirty-three Gods, and the retinue of Mara. Above the world of Brahma, no retinue is shown, because there is no connection with retinues there. If it is known that there is wavering due to being connected with retinues there, therefore it is said that it is within one's own retinue, which is extensively spoken of. That is, wanting to completely abandon being weary of one's own retinue, although the great arising in the formless realm is prevented, because its samadhi has not been attained, it is not known and the words are entrusted to the wind. After saying Brahma, it is also said Great Brahma, in order to know that this is superior to other Brahmas. Isvara. The maker, that is what is said later and later. When "in which ground, in which mind" etc. appear, there are three grounds, namely: the ground with investigation and analysis, the ground without investigation but only with analysis, and the ground without investigation and without analysis. In these three grounds, how many minds and mental factors are correspondingly present, that has already been extensively explained. Or it is the ground of samadhi and non-samadhi, or it is combined with the ten grounds that have special dhyana. Now, from the scriptures, "some mental factors" etc. appear extensively, because their own nature is the same, it is not easy to understand the differences between them, therefore, in order to show them well, the differences spoken of in the scriptures should be stated. Question: Why is it said that it appears in the scriptures? Answer: Because some worldly people and Buddhists both acknowledge that the two are of a combined nature. Question: What is the difference? Answer: It means what is the distinction. "Disrespect, no shame" etc. appear extensively, among which "qualities etc." refers to discipline, samadhi, and wisdom etc. "For those with qualities" refers to rituals and perfect enjoyment etc., and despising Khenpos and other individuals is disrespect.

Because there is no respect for (the guru), it is disrespect. Its essence is disrespect itself, a mental factor. What is called lack of respect, because of the power over disciples, is respect, like a guru or the position of a guru. Because there is no respect for this, it is lack of respect. Its essence is lack of respect itself. Because it has the nature of dominating with fear, it is dominating with fear. Not dominating with fear is not dominating with fear, and its essence is not dominating with fear itself. What is called fear is a mental factor, made by the mind, and because there is no discrimination, there is no fear in the five aggregates of consciousness. With respect to gurus and those similar to gurus, accompanied by respect, one will feel fear towards them, but it is not so with disrespect. Accompanied by fear, one will also be dominated, but it is not so with non-fear. If one feels fear towards a guru or a position like a guru, it is because of the worry that disrespecting them will lead to non-dharma. Here, disrespect is not just lack of respect, nor is it anything else. What is it then? It is the dharma that is an obstacle to respect. This will be shown in this way, in the form of its own nature, it is an expression of another mental factor that is an obstacle to respect. Others say that disrespect and lack of respect are towards qualities and those who possess qualities. Shamelessness, lack of shame, and not fearing. What is called shamelessness is what should not be said, therefore, what is called shamelessness refers to what is condemned by the holy ones, that is, rebuke and abandonment. The condemnation and fruition of its maturation are unpleasant, and not fearing it is shamelessness. Sanskrit Roman transliteration: anastadyarṣba, literal Chinese meaning: shameless). What is called fear is known as fright in the world. Therefore, the fear mentioned here refers to unwanted consequences, and if asked how this is fear, then it is because one will feel fear because of it. If one says not to fear the consequences, then seeing is a kind of wisdom.
