If there is no faith, the statement "only some combinations" will appear extensively, because all combinations are equally present in all things, so the self-nature of all things will be recognized. If it is thought that hardness and other things will not be recognized separately, then it is said, "What is most clear where?" If asked how, it is explained: From the perspective of strength, the part is larger; from the perspective of ability, it is a larger substance; but from the perspective of quantity, it is not the meaning. Regarding the statement "It is recognized there," the hardness in the element combination is the earth element, which is a larger part from the perspective of strength; therefore, only it is recognized there, and the others are not, because they are not larger parts. Similarly, the rest should also be said in this way. Regarding the example of this, such as touching a collection of needles and trees, etc., this is widely explained as: The reason for recognition is not just existence. Then what is it? It is also clarity itself. For example, needles and trees, flour and salt, even if the quantities are equal, because the collection of needles and trees is harder from the perspective of strength, only the touch of the needle can be recognized, but not the touch of the tree. Similarly, due to having strength, only the taste of salt can be recognized, but not other tastes. Because being suppressed and unable to be recognized is not the reason, then what is it? It is also because of non-existence. The question raised is: Then, how do they exist in the combinations of hardness, liquid, warmth, etc.? If it is thought that the remaining three elements should be understood as truly existing, then this is from the perspective of action. That is, to separately determine the respective actions of the elements, having the nature of gathering, maturing, and growing, this has already been explained earlier, that is, it is established through maintaining equal actions. Therefore, it should be understood that wherever the action of what is recognized, it exists there. Because maintaining equal actions does not depend on the author, or does not possess other authors. For example, in hard combinations such as stones, from the actions of gathering, not producing, growing, and declining, it can be understood that water, fire, and wind truly exist. In liquid combinations, due to boats etc. maintaining, warmth, and movement

The remainders are understood to be existent. When fire gathers and becomes warm, the flames are stable, gathered, and moving, thereby understanding that the remainders are existent. When wind gathers and moves, by grasping, cold, warmth, and aiming, thereby understanding that the remainders are existent. If it encounters conditions, it will arise in detail. If it encounters conditions such as fire, it is understood that there is a water element in it because copper and the like become wet. If it encounters conditions such as cold, it is determined that there is an earth element in it because hardness and the like are seen in the wetness. Similarly, from the six aggregates of hardness, warmth is determined, thereby knowing that there is fire. From obvious impact, because the fingers scatter, thereby knowing that there is a wind element. Existence itself mainly acts through the power of conditions, but it is not that non-existence arises, because that would be too extreme. Others say that water has the characteristic of coldness, which refers to the teacher Śāntarakṣita, because fire is very small, very large, small and large mixed, so water has the characteristic of coldness, that is, cold, very cold, extremely cold is possible, because cold is the opposite of warmth. Things are mixed with incompatible aspects, thereby becoming very weak, extremely weak, etc. This difference is not absolutely certain, this is to show this. Even if not mixed, it will arise in detail, for example, the substance of sound does not mix with other substances, nor does it exceed its own category, it is clear, very clear, extremely clear. Similarly, happiness and suffering cannot exist simultaneously, but because differences are seen in feeling without exceeding one's own category, feeling is happy, feeling does not depend on mixing with suffering, suffering does not depend on mixing with happiness, etc. Similarly, water also does not mix with other substances, nor does it exceed its own category, coldness will become special. Others say that those exist in those in the way of seeds, etc. Existing in the way of seeds means existing in the way of ability. In those means
