If it is said that all paths will also be exhausted there, then there is no fault in doing so. Due to the certainty of the equal share cause, the fruit of the stream-enterer will be obtained by the all-knowing faculty. The so-called "at the time of the transformation of the faculty" is to clearly proclaim existence, so there is no fault like an Arhat. Here, under the dominion of the equal share cause, the uninterrupted paths and so on are called the fruit of virtuous conduct, and the cause that is simultaneously arising is not the same. It can also be said that the eight fruits of the stream-enterer can be obtained, and what is obtained through the transformation of the faculty is also obtained by these eight fruits themselves. For example, although eleven faculties can exist, it is said that nine faculties can obtain the Arhat fruit. The Arhat itself, apart from the faculty that enables one to know all things such as faith, etc., for the time being, faith and so on arise from the mind of virtue. The Arhat itself is the fruit of the path of meditation, therefore the uninterrupted path is the all-knowing faculty, which is the Vajra-like Samadhi. The path of liberation is the faculty that possesses all-knowing, which is at the time of knowing exhaustion. The uninterrupted path and the path of liberation are the cause of leading and relying on the attainment of separation. The all-knowing faculty is not, because it is the nature of the path of seeing. The so-called mind faculty, the mind faculty refers to the Vajra-like Samadhi, and the consciousness that exists at the time of knowing exhaustion. The so-called pleasure faculty, joy faculty, equanimity faculty, etc., the support of the Arhat itself is ninefold, namely the fourth Dhyana, the realm of nothingness, the realm of discrimination, and the three formless absorptions. In the Sutra, it is said that monks rely on the first Dhyana and speak of exhaustion, up to relying on the realm of nothingness. Among them, if one obtains by relying on the third Dhyana, then it is the pleasure faculty. If one obtains by relying on the first and second Dhyanas, then it is the joy faculty. The realm of nothingness, the realm of discrimination, the fourth Dhyana, and the form

If obtained through reliance on the three absence of greed, absence of hatred, and absence of delusion, then it is the root of equanimity. Thus, depending on the difference of the basis, whether it is pleasure, mental pleasure, or equanimity, one can attain the state of an Arhat. In the phrase "Two are seven, eight, and nine," the word "attain" is a general statement. If one gradually attains the fruit of once-returner, then one obtains the mundane or supramundane path, and later through detachment from desire or the path of seeing. If one gradually attains the fruit of stream-enterer, then one obtains the fruit of once-returner, and later detachment from desire. If one abandons the six types of afflictions belonging to the desire realm through the mundane path, then it is gradual. If obtained through the mundane paths, then it is obtained through the seven faculties. How is it done? Because it is the ground of the path of no interval, it can only be obtained through the root of equanimity and the mind that corresponds to it. Because the faculty of mind and the five faculties such as faith are with outflows, they are not present in the three paths such as the faculty of complete knowledge, therefore it is only obtained through the seven faculties. If obtained through the supramundane path, then it is extensively stated in the scriptures. When that gradual one obtains the fruit of once-returner of the path without outflows, then it is obtained through the eight faculties, that is, adding the faculty of complete knowledge to the previous seven faculties, which makes eight. Because both are the path of cultivation, only the faculty of complete knowledge is present in the path of no interval and the path of liberation. If obtained through a mostly detached from desire, such as obtaining the fruit of stream-enterer through the path of seeing, then similarly it is obtained through the nine faculties. If one gradually obtains the fruit of non-returner, then the scripture says that gradually obtaining the fruit of once-returner, if obtained through the mundane path and the supramundane path, then it will become the eighth faculty of complete knowledge. Therefore, it is said to be mundane, when one obtains the fruit of once-returner, it is like the five faculties.
