Since afflictions and their supports are different, miracles and the like do not become antidotes to afflictions. When the support is the cause of disease, since the support itself is seen as a cause without substance, like medicine and so on, a different support is not desired. Similarly, even if miracles are seen, there is no instance of abandoning afflictions without the arising of an antidote. It is also not through the power of noble generosity, for the results of contradictory causes are also seen as contradictory. There is no non-contradictory cause for those who engage in afflictions. For example, even when meditating on ugliness and impermanence, without the essential instructions, it is like not meditating at all. Miracles and eloquence only make beings happy, but mere happiness does not eliminate afflictions. Since afflictions are the root of samsara, without abandoning afflictions, there is no crossing beyond the swamp of samsara. Therefore, miracles and the power of noble generosity do not deliver beings from the swamp of samsara. In this verse, the teachers, teachings, and disciples of others are compared to the Bhagavan, his teachings, and his disciples, highlighting their superiority. This is because of the perfection of abandonment and realization, because it is a method for transcending the swamp of samsara, and because of having transcended the swamp of samsara. Others merely claim to be teachers, but do not have perfect abandonment and realization, their teachings are not a method for transcending the swamp of samsara, and their disciples have not transcended the swamp of samsara, which is indicated by the meaning. Alternatively, by showing the differences in the support, cause, object, place, and necessity of the teachings, it is explained that the teachings are superior to other teachings. Relying on it is to generate faith in the teachings of the Tathagatagarbha in sentient beings. The cause is the Bhagavan, who possesses unobstructed wisdom and unsurpassed abandonment and realization. The object is the non-perverted meaning, suffering, emptiness, selflessness, and so on. The place is those who are drowning in the swamp of samsara.

The necessity is to lead sentient beings out of the swamp of samsara. Or, for the sake of the perfection of wisdom, the perfection of abandonment, and the perfection of benefiting others, because the teachings of the sole teacher of the three realms of the world are not inverted, therefore he is the sole teacher of the three realms of the world. Or it is called 'Completely Destroying Darkness', because there is no obstacle to wisdom, it is an explanation of how sentient beings can definitely accomplish all good things in this life and the next. The so-called complete destruction of darkness means that attachment and anger do not arise. The ultimate cause of accomplishing the benefit of others is the ultimate means of accomplishing the benefit of others. Or, the perfection of wisdom and the perfection of abandonment, along with inference, are completely and clearly shown. By the very one who speaks truthfully, the perfection of wisdom should be inferred. Because sentient beings are drawn out of the swamp of samsara, it is the perfection of abandonment, because it transcends the swamp of samsara, it is able to guide beings. Similar to the place of the swamp, it is submerged in the swamp. Or, it is the ultimate realization, the ultimate abandonment, the ultimate benefit of others, and the ultimate means of benefiting others, etc. Among them, when it is said 'after prostrating', the action of the same agent proves the action of the previous time, like eating after bathing. Therefore, because it depends on other actions, what should be done? Thus it is said. The teacher also said that the treatise should be well explained, for the sake of honoring and subduing the disciples, the treatise is made. It will be explained in this way, with the cause of obtaining benefit and the cause of abandoning what is not beneficial, thereby truly conforming, and for the sake of protecting from faults and suffering, it is said to be a treatise, because it becomes the cause of obtaining benefit and abandoning what is not beneficial, thereby conforming, and for the sake of protecting from faults and suffering, it is a treatise. The treatise Adonyata, also for the sake of clarifying or distinguishing well, it is said that the treatise should be well explained. In order to cut off the many, for the questioner, it is the Dharma Abhidhamma.

The so-called "Treasure" (ཛོད།) means that the Abhidharma states the meaning of classifying the treatises such as the Vinaya. Saying "Treasure" is to understand the summarized essence of the Abhidharma. Why is this composed? It is to gather the extensive Abhidharma. Now, those whose minds are distracted and attached by many affairs can be taken care of. Among them, who is praised, how is praised, and for whom is praised, are all indicated by this verse. Saying "Abhidharma Treasure" is because it is a branch of concise words, so two vows will be made, namely Abhidharma and Treasure. In order to distinguish the Abhidharma, it is said, "What is the so-called Abhidharma?" If the meaning of the branch is distinguished, the meaning of the concise words will be easily understood. In the phrase "Abhidharma, Discernment, Immaculate, and Accompanied," saying "Discernment" is because it is the main one. Because it is said that "Abhidharma is the five aggregates," therefore, discernment alone is not the Abhidharma. The so-called "skillful in distinguishing dharmas" is to distinguish the dharmas, thereby understanding the self-characteristics and common characteristics. "Immaculate" is to clarify the contaminated, because it is intended to express the ultimate truth. Because defilements are synonyms for outflows, it is said "without outflows." Among them, because afflictions such as desire do not increase, it is without outflows. Then, is it only the immaculate discernment that is the Abhidharma? The answer is: no. Then what is it? It is with accompaniment. The accompaniment is also because discernment is the main one. Moreover, discernment is not the retinue. Whatever form, etc., and time, and fruit, etc., all follow discernment with goodness, that is the retinue of discernment. Among them, for the discernment that relies on unobstructedness and meditation, and superior meditation, in what way is it called? The non-revealing form held by right speech, the edge of action, and livelihood will also follow. In this way, it is shown that the five uncontaminated aggregates are called Abhidharma. The Abhidharma based on the three formless aggregates is
