Therefore, since it is not manifestly realized due to the nature of uncertainty, the first moment of the subsequent knowledge of the path would become the very power of omniscience, because it manifestly realizes what has not been manifestly realized as the truth. If you ask why ignorance and so on need to be supplemented, the answer is: 'It should be done' is the remainder of the sentence. What is obtained by the expression of characteristics but not expressed in words is the supplement. By mentioning 'etc.', all the limbs of dependent origination, such as formations and consciousness, are completely included. For that very reason, it is said that ignorance and so on are also mentioned. Here too, by mentioning 'etc.', consciousness and so on are completely included. The bliss of universal joy is the difference between bliss and joy. It should not be supplemented, because the Blessed One, in order to know what meaning, the sutra says that the powers are twenty-two. Because there is no need for ignorance and so on. If you ask what that meaning is, the answer is: Therefore, the basis of the mind and its distinctions are extensively explained. The basis of the mind that has become self is its basis. The distinction is called 'ཕོའོ་མོའོ་'. The place is the constant following. Universal defilement is only the mind that has become self. The assembly of complete purification is the complete purification of. Those six sense bases are said to be the basis of the substance of sentient beings, which is the first and foremost. The substance of the mind is because it is counted as one of the sentient beings. The basis of those, such as form, and the consciousness of those are the substance of sentient beings, but not the basis, because they arise from their power. Or it is because it is a place of particular attachment, because one becomes extremely attached to them, and having done so, there are also those who are without fault. Others who are not my continuum, they are not powers, therefore they say it is the basis. The assembly of complete purification is the assembly of complete purification, because it has become the retinue of complete purification. Others who explain the establishment of powers in another way, such as the basis of entry, are extensively explained. Connected with the entry of samsara.

Those are the main ones, and whatever functions through their support, arising, dwelling, and close use, those are established as faculties themselves. Entering is arising, which means samsara. The six sense bases of sentient beings are the cause of samsara, so they are the support of entering, because their nature is such. Therefore, these six faculties have the characteristic of continuous birth in beings, the support of entering is the cause, and entering is the result. Or, because they are objects of one's own continuum, the six sense bases are the support, and the action of generating entering, which is established by making it the cause, is the support of entering because it is directed towards it, according to others. The phrase "because it arises from that" means that it arises from its condition, and here it shows the cause of birth, which is the male and female faculties. When semen and blood enter the womb, the body and mind faculties are the direct cause, and the four faculties such as the eye are the indirect cause, because it is said that it arises gradually. This method applies to humans, animals, and hungry ghosts. Because other beings do not have womb-born and egg-born beings. The life faculty makes it dwell, because it does not cut off the continuum of the six sense bases. The feelings make it closely used, because they participate in doing beneficial and harmful things to the support of entering. Thus, these fourteen are faculties because they mainly participate in entering. The phrase "in the same way" means in the way of support, etc. Others say it is the opposite, the so-called vast arising, the opposite is not entering, which is the complete cessation of the six sense bases. The support for obtaining it is the first, etc., because it is the main thing for the arising of all virtuous roots. Birth is the faculty that makes everything known, because it dwells on the aggregates that are correctly determined first thing in the morning. Dwelling is the faculty that makes everything known, because it enters with continuity. The faculty that possesses all knowledge makes it closely used.
