Therefore. If it is not allowed again, then why should the definitive meaning be stated again? It is widely stated that the root of life should abide in accordance with its kind. Abiding here means continuously following. For example, In the formless realm, beings with minds of virtue and affliction also follow their kind by the power of the root of life. If the root of life ceases, it will also cease. If it is said that "beings live by food," then wouldn't food also become a root? It is not so, because it can exist even without food. Those born in the form and formless realms follow their kind even without morsel food. Similarly, those who have entered into cessation meditation and unconscious meditation, and those who have manifested as unconscious, even without touch, thought, and consciousness, it is seen that they follow their kind, but it is not without the root of life. Therefore, since the root of life dominates abiding in accordance with its kind, only the root of life is the root, and food is not. The root of life does not dominate connection in accordance with its kind, because it arises simultaneously with it. For connection in accordance with its kind, karma and mind are the dominators. The scholar Dusang says that if this is no different from the previous category, then the writing becomes meaningless, because the definitive meaning has not been grasped. Feelings dominate all afflictions. If this is also the same as the Vaibhashikas, then the writing is to exclude that pleasure and so on also dominate purification. Especially dominating is dominating, and merely being a cause is not. Feelings especially dominate all afflictions, but do not dominate purification, so they only dominate all afflictions. To show this, as it is said in the sutra, "From pleasant feelings, desire increases," and so on, growth through the object is because of delusion, through the door of similar correspondence. Thus

It should be understood as such. Although equanimity is said to be in accordance with everything equally, it is not a fault to do so in order to understand the aforementioned content accurately. The so-called "five factors such as faith" refers to the path, which is called complete purification because it makes it completely pure. Thus, they arise extensively, because they, namely mindfulness and the state of warmth, can also subdue the afflictions that hinder the arising of the path. Since there is no equal cause, the path arises by its power, therefore, the most excellent state can also lead the path. Only they can dominate complete purification. In order to determine that the nature of complete purification is not such as the freedom to understand everything, it is said again. The word "as such" is to show that, like the eyes, etc., until the ultimate of faith, etc., each is a root, as such, the function of understanding everything, understanding everything, and having understanding everything are also each a root. If it is not known as a root by the difference of being able to dominate? In order to eliminate the doubt caused by the non-difference of things, the word "as such" is added vigorously. Acharya Sthiramati says: The dharmas distinguished by the differences of the path of seeing, etc., will generate needs from mutual collection. The dharmas distinguished by the differences of the uninterrupted path and the path of liberation, because there is a need for mutual collection, therefore, in any case, these nine are not the differences dominated by different entities, so it is not seen that this becomes one root. The so-called mutual collection of male and female roots is also unreasonable, because it is not a different entity other than the nine, and it is shown as one entity by the difference of domination, precisely because there is a need, in order to distinguish them, the word "as such" is added vigorously. Since it is also promised as one entity by the difference of domination, therefore, this is a distinction made by manifest attachment. In any case, the word "as such" that we have said is three different natures.

English

It is called "for the sake of the doctrine" because there are nine paths of seeing, meditating, and no-more-learning, and (the Buddha) said there are three. If the distinct nature is not established, then in reality it is meaningless, because it does not create the sound of "suchness," but rather expresses it with the sound of "suchness" itself. Or, the so-called "separate faculties" are to prevent the nature of the collection of omniscient faculties, etc., but rather to separately establish the faculties such as seeing, meditating, and no-more-learning paths as omniscient, and to be called omniscient and faculties with omniscience. Its collection is not like the subtle particles of the eye faculty. Among them, the faculty that makes omniscient has dominion over obtaining the omniscient faculty, because the path of meditation is preceded by the path of seeing. The omniscient faculty acts to obtain the faculty with omniscience, because the path of no-more-learning is preceded by the path of meditation, and these are also established on the paths of seeing and meditation. The faculty with omniscience has dominion over complete nirvana, because there is no other path. Nirvana here refers to nirvana without remainder. Therefore, (the Buddha) said that for those whose minds are not completely liberated, there is no nirvana, and complete liberation of the mind is the knowledge of exhaustion. It and all the subsequent undefiled paths are faculties with omniscience, therefore the faculty with omniscience has dominion over complete nirvana. Not before this, because only conditioned phenomena are the fruit of the lord of conditioned phenomena. Others say that the faculty with omniscience has dominion over complete nirvana, and if it is said from the perspective of obtaining complete nirvana, there is no fault. The sound of "etc." is to indicate other categories, as it appears extensively, the first two faculties are covered by seeing and meditation, so in order, they have dominion over the abandonment of the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing and meditation.
