Except for the forms of the desire realm, all other forms can be seen. The eye of the fourth dhyana sees all forms. Thus, those born in the third and fourth dhyanas do not have the eyes of the lower realm, but with the eyes of their own realm, they see the forms of their own realm and the lower realm, but not the upper realm. The body does not have the eyes of the lower realm. When it says "is not," by prohibiting the lower realm, one allows one's own realm and the upper realm. In this way, it is not reasonable for the eye of the lower realm to arise from the body of the upper realm, because the cause of the ripening of the lower realm does not produce the fruit of the upper realm. It is also not permissible to arise from increase, because there is no cause for the increase of the lower realm. Body, eye, and form are all of the nature of form, and since there is no form above the fourth dhyana, it is only the fifth realm, and there is none in the upper realms. Eye consciousness is the second realm, that is to say, it exists in the desire realm and the first dhyana, but not above, because it has investigation and analysis, and there is no investigation and analysis in the second dhyana and so on. The eye does not see the form of the upper realm. When it says "is not," by prohibiting the upper realm, one acknowledges one's own realm and the lower realm. Furthermore, why is it not accepted that the eye is the object of the upper realm? Because the eye of the lower realm is suitable for coarse objects, it does not have the ability to see the subtle forms of the lower realm. Consciousness is also not the eye of the upper realm. Here too, one acknowledges one's own realm and the lower realm. Just as the form of the upper realm is not the object of the eye of the lower realm, so too the consciousness of the lower realm does not depend on the eye of the lower realm, because the self-basis and the unified object. This is because of seeing Brahma and others, and because consciousness arises from their power, this needs to be examined, if this is the basis of debate. Because the emanation body is seen, this has already been examined. His form body and body are both everywhere. Saying "his" refers to the object of the eye consciousness just mentioned, which is everywhere, oneself and below.

I am the form of the higher ground, and the form and consciousness of the body are both of the self, lower, and higher grounds. Among them, the form of the self-ground of consciousness is the desire realm known by one's own consciousness, which is the form of the first dhyana. The higher ground of the consciousness of the first dhyana is the form of the second dhyana and so on. The lower ground is the form of the desire realm. The self-grounds of body, form, and consciousness are those born in the desire realm and the first dhyana. The lower grounds are those born in the second dhyana and so on. The higher grounds are only those born in the desire realm. Body and form are also of the self and lower grounds. The object of the eye of the higher ground is called the higher, self, and lower grounds. The saying "the three" appears extensively because it is due to encountering the object. The three natures of body, sense faculty, and object are undoubtedly of the self-ground, but consciousness has differences. For example, in the desire realm, consciousness, like body and so on, is also its self-ground. Body, touch, and sense faculty are of the five grounds, while the consciousness of the body is of the two grounds, therefore there is a distinction here. The saying "mind is uncertain" means that the temporarily identical ground is only the four self-grounds of whichever is born in the five grounds. At the time of entering into samadhi and at the time of birth, the mind is the higher ground at the time of entering into samadhi, that is, when one born in the desire realm, after the first dhyana, desires the desire realm, and knows the dharmas of the desire realm with the consciousness of the mind that acts in the desire realm, then the mind is the higher ground, and the body, the consciousness of the mind, and the dharmas are the lower ground. After the second or fourth dhyana, when one knows the dharmas of the first, second, and third dhyana grounds with the consciousness of the mind of the first, second, and third dhyana grounds, then the mind is the higher ground, and the three are the lower ground. One born in the first dhyana, after the second dhyana, with the consciousness of the mind of the first dhyana,

When one knows the dharmas of the ground, the mind is of the higher ground, and the three are of the lower ground. After the third and fourth dhyanas, with the consciousness of the second and third dhyanas, one understands the dharmas of the second and third dhyanas, the mind is of the higher ground, and the three are of the lower ground. Birth in the second dhyana and so on should also be explained accordingly. When one born in the desire realm emanates an emanation belonging to the desire realm, the mind is appropriately of the fourth dhyana ground, and the three belong to the desire realm. When the body is born in the desire realm, the mind is of the lower ground. Therefore, how can the mind, consciousness, and dharmas of the higher ground exist in the previous transcendent samadhi? When gathering the emanations belonging to the desire realm, the mind is of the lower ground, the body is of its own ground, the consciousness is of the higher ground, and how do the dharmas exist? At the time of birth, it is also of the higher ground, and the body cannot be of the lower ground, because the senses of the body of the lower ground do not cease, and no one will be born. Some, though not, abide in a mind of a different kind and die. Thus, since the higher ground does not have a mind lower than the body, the mind of the higher ground is not suitable for the body of the lower ground. If, after the consciousness of the higher ground, one takes rebirth in the desire, form, or formless realms (one version says in the desire realm), then his mind is of the higher ground, and the body and consciousness are of the lower ground. The dharmas are of his ground and those that are not in accordance with the higher ground. Similarly, it should also be said that it is not of the lower ground, and the body is of the higher ground. At the time of entering into samadhi, it is permissible for the body to be of the higher ground and the mind to be of the lower ground, because it is manifested by the consciousness and the mind that emanates the body. Similarly, it should also be explained for consciousness and dharmas. In the extensive explanation of samadhi, it says: After the uncontaminated, between the three above and below is good, arising from pure beings.
