It has been shown. The statement "not being the nature of one and many" means that in order to prove that reason, it is shown that the thing that can perform the function, which is considered by others to be the ultimate truth, is possessed by this very thing. Therefore, in general, the ultimate truth is not one and many, but specifically that which appears in the image, even the opponent would say that it is also present in all the objects to be proven. Therefore, the opponent will also understand that there is so much. As it is said, in the fifth chapter also, "The similar example is in accordance with the general meaning of the object to be proven." Considering this, it is said that the similar appearance of the subject and the reason, etc., is established. In the knowledge of both opponents, how much of the appearing part there is, depending on that much, the subject, the dharma, etc., are understood. As it is said, this thing of establishing and proving, by the difference produced by the scriptures, after abandoning the subject, whether it is a wise person, a woman, or a child, can completely and correctly enter into the things that are known. As it is said. That difference like a pot as a reason, for the wise opponent, is obvious and appears as ten parts. Recognizing that it is not one, for those who are not wise, such as those whose minds are corrupted by being accustomed to distorted teachings, it is established through inference. If one examines it in this way and establishes it on the subject that appears similar, one must admit it. If the certainty that arises merely by seeing it has not arisen, if doubt arises, then from the coarse pot to the subtle dust, one should concentrate one's mind and examine the ten directions, or six directions, or four directions, and thus generate certainty that is free from one. If doubt arises about that as well, then one should concentrate one's mind and look, and because it is divided into ten directional parts, one does not see it as one. Because it does not appear, there is no reason to doubt the existence of many without parts. Because one has not seen that, the reason for being free from one and many is established through inference. The so-called ultimate truth of one and many, and the so-called one and many without parts, are not different in meaning. Because the knowledge of not seeing that has not arisen, the name of the knowledge of being free from one and many will not arise in oneself, and one will not utter the name of the word to others, because it has already been shown that certainty precedes it.

To. Some argue that this can be considered a truly valid reason. Therefore, abandoning the extreme of what is to be proven, merely dwelling on the part that appears, and taking one side of the commitment of contradiction, absence of inherent existence, and non-otherness as the reason, either it is not established, or if it is established, then following the sign becomes meaningless, would there be such a fault? To that, it is said: Dwelling on the part that appears. This statement also, when inferring the meaning for others, for things that appear concordant, inferring one's own meaning through the combination of words, for things that appear as the subject of the argument, the reason also generates a definite understanding of being separate from one and many through direct perception and inference. For things that do not appear concordant, there is also the establishment of the subject of the argument and the reason, for example, atoms. If it is said that it exists in things, therefore it appears concordant, that is unreasonable. In one mote of dust in a sunbeam, there are eighty million atoms, twenty-three thousand five hundred and forty-three. Is such a part appearing concordant? Therefore, the necessity is to dispel the realization of the yogis, and to extract the thorn of doubt. The necessity is to contemplate the extremely subtle parts that have not become directly perceived, but are examined through wisdom. This statement, 'one side of the commitment,' is also without fault. It is like saying: This reason does not have one side of the commitment, because it is to prove that the object of knowledge is established by the knowledge of the object by the subject, and sounds and names, etc. For example, this is a cow, because it has the nature of a collection of dewlaps, etc. Although it has already been explained that the reasons stated in this way are separate from the nature of one and many, for those who, from beginningless samsara, have been inverted one after another, whose attachment to things has completely increased and is difficult to abandon, and who do not become accustomed to proper attention, they do not think or speak correctly about the absence of inherent existence that pervades all things, and because they want to generate certainty in others as well, they do not use names, for those who know in this way, the object of sound and name itself is established, becoming the object of focus.
