does not hold. Since it does not hold, form and so on are true. Thinking, "It is true" and merely arising, is this said to be false? Or is it called conventional because it obscures? It is impossible to establish that it is called conventional because it is harmed by reason. If it is said to be according to the latter aspect, then it is said to that: If one does not know what obscures, or what has obscuration, and obscuration is not established, or harm by reason is not established, then how can it be called conventional? If it is established that it is harmed by reason, then this is established as the conventional truth. If it is said like that, then since the ultimate truth has been previously established, it is known that this is the conventional truth. Therefore, both of these are admitted. Some say that the thought of the noble Nagarjuna does not establish the ultimate truth, but is extremely extreme, even in the conventional, it is considered that there is no meaning other than name. To that it is said: It was said that there is no dispute in name. That is contradictory to direct perception. If it is said, "The son of a eunuch is here," and then an attack is made on him, then the attack on him and the attack on you are the same because there is no harm. The teacher does not think like that. In the Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning, it is also said: For the wise who are skilled in cause and effect, the place where all faults arise has been completely reversed. It is said like that, and it is said that my afflictions, which were established to refute it, have also been stopped by you, so you have helped me and let them go. In the noble Sutra of All Dharmas Going, it is also said: Bodhisattvas do not create, bodhisattvas debate the harm of wisdom, (saying) all dharmas are only names and terms, etc., which are also just synonyms for names in the conventional, or they are just explaining each other, not explaining in the ultimate truth. Some think that the two truths are not real, that is, the conventional truth is harmed by reason, while the ultimate truth is established by reason, is constant and one, exists in the nature of all dharmas, and is the nature that is separate from all elaboration. Therefore, it is said: In the Distinguishing of the Two Truths, it is said: Because it is the nature that follows reason, it is the Dharmakaya of the protectors. It is said like that, and the noble

From the tenth chapter: Whether the Tathagatas appear or not, the nature of reality remains as it is. Thus, all phenomena are emptiness, and all phenomena are without characteristics. So it is said. From the Noble Jewel Cloud Sutra: Son of good family, if the ultimate truth does not exist, then pure conduct will become meaningless. So it is said. To that, it is said: Because of the nature that follows reason. That which is said, such as, from that very sutra, why is it considered the nature that abides by reason? The answer is: Because that very nature possesses reason. That is to say, all phenomena contradict reason in the ultimate truth, and it is only because they are not seen that it is said in that way. But that is not to say that reason is established and the ultimate truth cannot be established. Thus it is said. From the Noble Sutra on the Two Truths: Son of the gods, the truth of the ultimate truth transcends even the realm of the wisdom of the all-knowing one. So it is said. Let alone others, even it is not a place to be made an object, that is its definition. The so-called ever-abiding permanence is also to say that when the Tathagata had not yet appeared in the world, form and so on existed in the ultimate truth. It is not that they do not exist because of appearing, but rather, when some things are just born, they are born in a way that is not established in the ultimate truth, so it is said in that way. If it were not like that, then whose dharma would the ever-abiding permanence of the nature of reality be? If one does not consider the previously existing and the newly arising phenomena to be the same entity of establishment and happiness, then pure conduct will become meaningless. So it is said, and this is also because foolish children think that the self of the person and the self of phenomena exist, and they cling to them as real. Considering that the self is not established in the person and phenomena, it is said that the non-existence of the self is not true, which contradicts reason. If existence is real, then because all foolish children can see it, there will be no delusion, and in order to attain Brahma through nirvana, there is no point in striving now. So it is said. It is not said that if it is not established in the realm of reason, it is meaningless. The so-called abiding as the nature of reality of all phenomena is also to say that one phenomenon is free from elaboration, and similarly, other phenomena are also free from elaboration, so it is said in that way. If there is a self that pervades all phenomena, then the non-Buddhists would acknowledge that the self pervades everything.
