If a feeling of not sensing the body arises, at that time, meditate for the time it takes to walk three arrow-lengths with normal steps, then interrupt that bliss and get up. The time for adjusting and how to adjust are the same as before. These are two ways of arising very quickly. It doesn't take a very long time to arise, there are two situations: Some people, as mentioned before, settle the mind, and four stages of experience will arise: Even if consciousness is distracted and doesn't want to settle, but when trying to settle, there will be a tingling, fleeting, rough, stiff, and unwilling to stay even for a moment experience. If this happens, meditate for the time it takes to walk half an arrow-length with normal steps, then interrupt. Sometimes that experience will not arise, and then after many days it will arise. Through the power of effort, the distraction of consciousness is reduced, the tingling feeling is reduced, although settled, there is no rough and stiff and clinging experience. Then it arises slightly, the mind does not wander outwards, and the tingling and rough feelings also subside, breathing is uncomfortable, consciousness stays stiffly, and sometimes at the beginning or end of the session, there will be a slightly gentle experience. Then it will arise without taking many days, when meditating, at the beginning, middle, or end of the session, or when not meditating, suddenly on the thought, gradually becoming more and more comfortable, like coming out of a storm and entering a warm house, feeling gentle and stable, like being in a not very clear sky, not very clear, and not feeling the existence of the body. If this happens, meditate for the time it takes to walk a little more than three arrow-lengths with normal steps, then interrupt that bliss and get up. The time for adjusting and the method of adjusting are done as mentioned before. There are also some people who will do this: Settle the mind as mentioned before. Coarse thoughts do not arise, and the tingling feeling is also less, but there is no characteristic of settling. When an experience arises of just staying without being distracted through the power of effort, meditate for the time it takes to walk half an arrow-length with normal steps, then get up. Meditating for such a short time, if it arises, through the effort of

With strength, in the upper and lower parts of the meditation session, there will be a gentle or controlling posture. Sometimes, the meditation becomes clear and remains the same as before. When it arises and is controlled by the power of tightening, it will not be distracted until the bottom of the meditation session. Although it exists in a gentle manner, a feeling of not being relaxed arises. Then, when it arises and is tightened, it seems to move at a slow pace, so there is no need to tighten. If it is released, it is difficult to release, so it is enough to remain relaxed. Even if it is not very loose, if a situation arises where one does not feel the existence of the body, then meditate for a distance of more than three arrow-lengths walking at a normal pace, and then cut off that pleasure and get up. The time when correction is needed and how to correct it should be done as mentioned before. These two situations are both situations that do not last very long. One of them arises after lasting a long time. For some people, as mentioned before, when the mind is settled, it scatters in various ways and does not want to stay, because consciousness is obscured and one feels uncomfortable again. Therefore, when relaxed, a feeling similar to pleasure arises. In this case, meditate for a distance of half an arrow-length walking at a normal pace, and then get up. This is very difficult to maintain, so even if it is uncomfortable, tighten and maintain it, and after a long time, it will arise. Even if most of the meditation is tightened, there will be no discomfort, distractions will be few, and feelings will arise easily. A feeling of being able to easily stop it will also arise. When one becomes accustomed to this situation, it will last for a long time. After tightening, it becomes gentle and does not scatter, but if relaxed, a slight feeling of scattering will arise. Then, before long, whether it is during a break from meditation, or during rest, or when going to bed at night, there is no fixed time. It exists slowly, and even if tightened, it cannot be done. It is also difficult to relax, it becomes dull and sluggish, one does not feel the existence of the body, and a very unrelaxed feeling arises. In this case, meditate for a distance of three arrow-lengths walking at a normal pace, and then cut off that pleasure and get up. The time when correction is needed and how to correct it should be done as mentioned before. The sequence of arising has been explained. So, what is the measure of abiding? This is divided into three types: superior, middling, and inferior, according to the power of the cause. Among them, the superior is that whether consciousness is tightened or not, it does not waver from the meaning of thought, and the breath slowly
