May I be free from holding grudges, and become completely free from pride, conflict, and discrimination. When a Bodhisattva sees a forest, he generates the thought: May all sentient beings, including gods and humans, become places to be revered. When a Bodhisattva sees a mountain, he generates the thought: May all sentient beings easily attain it without difficulty or obstruction, and become manifestly superior through all roots of virtue. When a Bodhisattva sees a thorny shrub, he generates the thought: May all sentient beings be without desire, hatred, and ignorance, and be free from thorns. When a Bodhisattva sees a leafy tree, he generates the thought: May all sentient beings be greatly moved by meditation, liberation, samadhi, and equipoise. When a Bodhisattva sees a flower, he generates the thought: May all sentient beings blossom with the flower of clairvoyance and become like flowers. When a Bodhisattva sees a flowering tree, he generates the thought: May all sentient beings be exceedingly adorned with the flowers of the thirty-two major marks of a great person. When a Bodhisattva sees a fruit tree, he generates the thought: May all sentient beings be inclined towards the essence of enlightenment, and may all endeavors in the Buddha's teachings bear fruit, and may they attain the supreme fruit. 从上往上观修，精进，愿善根无尽。见到桥梁时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生、众多人等，都成为完全度脱的桥梁。见到水渠时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生、一切有情，都精通心与思想，以及习气，并且没有一切轮回。见到篱笆时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生对色、声、香、味、触的贪恋彻底清净。见到无忧树林时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生如实获得无忧。见到果树园时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生都精进而不舍弃佛陀的菩提。见到以装饰打扮的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生都以大丈夫的三十二相庄严。见到没有装饰的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生都因获得清净的波罗蜜多而没有装饰。见到非常快乐的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生都喜爱、信奉佛法，并因欢喜而非常快乐。见到非常不快乐的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生对一切有为法都非常不快乐。见到安乐的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生都完全获得佛陀安乐的资具，从而非常安乐。见到痛苦的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生都完全获得智慧的根本，从而平息痛苦。见到不健康的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生都成为完全无忧的法性，从而无有差别地领悟。

Striving diligently to aim higher and higher, may the roots of virtue be inexhaustible. When seeing a bridge, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all sentient beings, all multitudes of people, become bridges for completely liberating. When seeing a canal, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all sentient beings, all beings, be skilled in mind and thought, as well as habitual tendencies, and may there be no cycle of existence whatsoever. When seeing a fence, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May the craving of all sentient beings for form, sound, smell, taste, and touch be thoroughly purified. When seeing a forest of sorrowlessness, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all sentient beings truly attain sorrowlessness like thread. When seeing an orchard, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all sentient beings be extremely diligent in not abandoning the enlightenment of the Buddha. When seeing sentient beings adorned with ornaments, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all sentient beings be adorned with the thirty-two major marks of a great person. When seeing sentient beings without ornaments, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all sentient beings be without ornaments by attaining the perfection of purification. When seeing very happy sentient beings, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all sentient beings be delighted and devoted to the Dharma, and be very happy with joy. When seeing very unhappy sentient beings, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all sentient beings be very unhappy with all conditioned phenomena. When seeing happy sentient beings, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all sentient beings fully attain all the means of happiness of the Buddha, and thus be very happy. When seeing suffering sentient beings, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all sentient beings fully attain the root of wisdom, and thus pacify suffering. When seeing unhealthy sentient beings, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all sentient beings become of the nature of complete sorrowlessness, and thus comprehend without difference.

如此发菩提心。见到可怜的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生对所有佛和菩萨生起极大信心。见到丑陋的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生对不善知识的行为生起微小信心。见到知恩的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生了知所有佛和菩萨的作为。见到不知恩的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生对不善的见解不知恩。见到沙门时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生勤奋于无余究竟之事，并倾向于寂静和调柔。见到婆罗门时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生成为清净的圣者，并断除罪恶。见到苦行者时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生勤奋于无余究竟之事，并极为倾向于苦行。见到进入苦行者时，菩萨发愿：为了不舍弃一切众生的佛陀菩提，愿一切众生成为坚定的苦行者。见到穿戴盔甲的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生在遍寻自生之法时，穿戴上极好的盔甲。见到没有穿戴盔甲的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生所做的一切不善业都没有盔甲。见到争斗的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生彻底摧毁所有他方的争斗。见到生活的众生时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生没有矫饰的行为，且生活清净。见到国王时，菩萨发愿：愿一切众生拥有无碍的法轮。

Thus, generate the mind of enlightenment. When seeing miserable beings, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all beings have great faith in all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. When seeing ugly beings, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all beings have little faith in the actions of unwholesome spiritual friends. When seeing grateful beings, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all beings know the deeds of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. When seeing ungrateful beings, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all beings be ungrateful to unwholesome views. When seeing ascetics, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all beings be diligent in the ultimate task of leaving nothing behind, and may they be inclined towards peace and gentleness. When seeing Brahmins, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all beings become pure and holy, and may they abandon evil. When seeing those who practice austerities, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all beings be diligent in the ultimate task of leaving nothing behind, and may they be greatly inclined towards austerities. When seeing those who have entered into vows, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: In order not to abandon the enlightenment of the Buddhas for all beings, may all beings become steadfast in their vows. When seeing beings wearing armor, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all beings be exceedingly adorned with excellent armor when thoroughly seeking the self-arisen Dharma. When seeing beings not wearing armor, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all beings have no armor for all the unwholesome deeds they have done. When seeing beings in conflict, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all beings utterly destroy all conflicts from others. When seeing beings living, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all beings have unpretentious conduct and pure living. When seeing a king, the Bodhisattva makes the aspiration: May all beings possess the unobstructed wheel of Dharma.
