It is called (wrong view) to believe that the ripening of the fruits of actions done and not done exists. The sutra says, "There are those who have gone correctly and those who have entered correctly in the world," which shows the existence contrary to entering. Entering refers to being born in samsara. Contrary to being born in samsara are the noble stream-enterers, etc., and the Tathagatas, etc. Believing that they exist is called "There are those who have gone correctly and those who have entered correctly in the world." Among them, the noble stream-enterers, etc., are those who have gone correctly. The opposite of this is called wrong view. Like "There is no this world, there is no other world," etc., the opposite of right view is wrong view. In order to explain right thought, what is right thought? Dedicating generosity and ethics to becoming a Buddha, etc., and not dedicating them to a universal monarch, etc., is called right thought. In reality, as an antidote to thinking of non-virtue, etc., thinking of virtue in the mind is right thought. Among them, generosity is giving things without fault, in order to obtain the adornment of the mind and the equipment of the mind, as well as the collection of yoga and the supreme meaning. This should also be viewed from six aspects: who gives, where to give, what to give, with what to give, how to give, and why to give. Among them, who gives? The giver and the owner of the giving give. Whoever gives things from his own hand is the giver. Whoever causes others to give is the owner of the giving. Where to give? Give in four fields: the field of suffering, the field of gratitude, the field of the desirable, and the field of excellence. Among them, the field of suffering refers to the poor, the miserly, the hungry, the blind, the deaf, the helpless, the unprotected, and those afflicted by disease, etc. Among them, the field of gratitude refers to parents, or others who have protected me from the suffering of harm, or in a year of disaster, or threatened by another king, or helped me from the disease of being bound.

Or befriending those who have done deeds, or overcoming the sorrow of being separated from wealth and relatives, or giving instructions that bring benefit and happiness. A pleasing field is any friend, intimate, or acquaintance who is familiar with each other and whose minds are in harmony, or other relatives and friends. A distinguished field is a Brahmin or monk who has entered the path to abandon desire, hatred, and delusion, possessing a virtuous nature. What should be given? In essence, two types of things are given: things that belong to the category of sentient beings and things that do not belong to the category of sentient beings. Among these, things that belong to the category of sentient beings are also of two types: external and internal. Among these, external things are the giving of sons, wives, male and female servants, horses, elephants, sheep, goats, and so on. Internal things are the giving of one's own body, such as feet, hands, head, flesh, blood, and so on. Things that do not belong to the category of sentient beings are also of three types: things of grain, things of treasure, and things of land. Among these, things of grain are like this: barley, wheat, rice, sesame, and so on. Things of treasure are like this: gold, silver, pearls, lapis lazuli, and so on. Things of land are like this: things of fields, things of houses, shops, and houses built for the sake of merit, and so on. With what do you give? You give with the actions of body and speech that arise from causes that are free from attachment and hatred. How do you give? With a mind of faith, seeing that there is a result in the next life, and with a mind of respect and humility, giving respectfully from your own hands at the appropriate time. Why give? To the field of suffering, give with compassion. To the field of kindness, give with a mind of gratitude. To the pleasing field, give because of friendship. To the distinguished field, give because a supreme result arises from that which transcends all worlds, this is called giving. As for what is called ethics, ethics is
