To prevent it from arising is called the wisdom of understanding the Dharma of suffering. For example, it is like two people, one of whom catches a thief from the house and throws him out, and the other closes the door. Similarly, just as one person catches a thief and throws him out along with the thief, the forbearance of understanding the Dharma of suffering also seizes the ten afflictions and extinguishes them along with the afflictions. Afterwards, just as the two people close the door so that the thief cannot enter again, the wisdom of understanding the Dharma of suffering prevents afflictions from arising in the mindstream later. Among them, forbearance is called the path of no interruption. Wisdom is called the path of liberation. For example, the way two people drive away a thief can also be applied to the forbearance of subsequent understanding of suffering, and so on. Among them, arranging impermanence and so on into four aspects is also the antidote to the four inverted yogis. The four are the two who are attached to desire and the two who are attached to views. The two who are attached to desire are being overcome by the pride of "I am" and being attached to laziness. The two who are attached to views are clinging to self and manifesting attachment to clinging to what belongs to self. Among them, being overcome by the pride of "I am" is to arrogantly act by clinging to permanence in impermanence. The antidote to this is to explain suffering as impermanent in the truth of suffering, because the five aggregates are momentary in nature. In order to abandon clinging to reality and attachment, because one does not do good deeds, the antidote is to explain suffering as suffering in the truth of suffering, because all formations have the three kinds of suffering. Among them, in order to counteract clinging to self, it is explained as selflessness, because the self-nature fabricated by non-Buddhists on the five aggregates is not found. In order to counteract clinging to what belongs to self, it is explained as emptiness, because if self is not established, then what belongs to self is also not established. After seeing the truth of suffering in the form and formless realms, and the four aspects of impermanence and so on, it is the forbearance of subsequent understanding of suffering. At that time, the afflictions of the form and formless realms should also be abandoned by seeing suffering.

In the realm of form, abandoning anger, as well as the nine types of afflictions such as the view of the perishable aggregate; in the formless realm, abandoning anger, as well as the nine types of afflictions such as the view of the perishable aggregate; in general, a total of eighteen afflictions are abandoned. In the two realms, there is no hatred because the mind stream is greatly moistened by samadhi, and the results of non-virtuous actions do not harm the body and mind. After that, knowing that afflictions have been abandoned, and preventing afflictions from arising in the mind stream later, this is the knowledge of subsequent understanding of suffering. Regarding this, in the truth of the origin of suffering in the desire realm, if one sees the four aspects of cause, arising, production, and condition, it is called the forbearance of the knowledge of the Dharma of the origin of suffering. At that time, because one sees the truth of the origin of suffering in the desire realm, one abandons the afflictions to be abandoned, namely the view of the perishable aggregate, the view of extremes, and the adherence to ethics and vows, and abandons the seven types of wrong view, view of attachment, doubt, desire, anger, pride, and ignorance. After that, knowing that afflictions have been abandoned, and preventing afflictions from arising in the mind stream later, this is the knowledge of the Dharma of the origin of suffering. If one sees the four aspects of cause, etc., in the truth of the origin of suffering in the form and formless realms, it is called the forbearance of the subsequent knowledge of the origin of suffering. At that time, because one sees the truth of the origin of suffering in the form realm, one abandons the afflictions to be abandoned, namely the six types of wrong view, view of attachment, doubt, desire, pride, and ignorance, and in the formless realm, it is also the same six types, abandoning a total of twelve afflictions. After that, knowing that afflictions have been abandoned, and preventing afflictions from arising in the mind stream later, this is called the knowledge of the subsequent understanding of the origin of suffering. Because it is the Dharma that makes the seed, it is the cause. Because it causes future craving to increase, it is the arising. Because it continuously causes the stream of existence to arise without interruption, it is the production. Just as water, thread, wheel, and clay are used to make pottery, the result
