arising from internal causes, and arising from external causes. Among these, arising from internal causes is the harm caused by the disturbance of the great elements such as the body. Arising from external causes is the harm caused by being struck by clods of earth and stones, etc. Diseases of the body are also classified into various types from the perspective of different names, causes, and conditions. Among these, the names are ringworm, goiter, leprosy, smallpox, tumors, plagues, hiccups, etc., the names of diseases are classified into various types. If classified in detail, there are four hundred and four types of diseases. Diseases of the mind are the harm caused by the mind arising from various kinds of conceptual thoughts. It is also divided into two types: arising from focusing on internal objects, and arising from focusing on external objects. Among these, arising from focusing on internal objects refers to focusing on one's own body, thereby generating discomfort and afflictions. Arising from focusing on external objects refers to thinking about relatives, friends, and desirable qualities, thereby generating discomfort and afflictions. It is also classified into various types from the perspective of names, causes, and supports. The names are desire, hatred, delusion, anger, jealousy, and holding grudges, etc. The causes are those arising from the cause of beauty, those arising from the cause of anger, and those arising from causes that are neither of these two. The supports are attachment to form, attachment to sound, attachment to smell, attachment to taste, etc. Here, it refers to dealing with diseases of the body. Why is it called suffering? Because if one is controlled by this disease, it will generate various kinds of discomfort in one's own body, it will become an obstacle to life, and it will cause danger by harming vital points, so it is like fire, poison, and weapons, therefore it is called suffering. Or like a forest fire burning

Those who are trapped inside, along with their senses, are tormented by various forms of suffering from flames, unable to bear it, wandering around and shouting loudly, groaning like smoke, afflicted by the suffering of suffering. Beings are unable to bear it, uttering loud cries, and weeping, therefore it is also suffering. What is meant by 'death is suffering'? Those beings mentioned earlier, who have died and transmigrated from this or that class of beings, or have died and transmigrated. That which is spoken of is death. Alternatively, the life force, warmth, and consciousness abandon the body, and the continuity of the life force is severed, which is called death. Or, the great elements such as earth become disordered, causing the senses such as the eyes to weaken. When the senses weaken, the mind and mental factors that depend on them do not arise. If the mind and mental factors do not arise, it is called death. Alternatively, there are two types of death: death from the exhaustion of life, and death from the exhaustion of karma. Among these, death from the exhaustion of life refers to the exhaustion of the power of the karma that was created in other lives to make the activities of life continue to exist. Death from the exhaustion of karma refers to dying in this life due to a lack of resources such as food and drink, because one has not created karma through meritorious deeds such as giving. Alternatively, there are three types of death: death in each moment, death from exhaustion of cause, and death from destruction. Among these, death in each moment is the characteristic of the previous moment ceasing and the next moment arising, starting from the initial entry into the womb until the activities of life of the same kind continue uninterrupted. Death from exhaustion of cause refers to the exhaustion of the activities of life, causing the continuum of aggregates of the same kind to be interrupted. Death from destruction refers to dying from encountering conditions such as poison, fire, and weapons. Why is death said to be suffering? For example, someone who has an abundance of grain, precious jewels, possessions, and relatives and friends, is robbed by powerful people such as kings and made to have nothing. At the time of death, relatives and friends who are fond of being separated surround them,
