It is the birthplace. Knowing that it has become the object of Dharma practice and possessing the nature of intelligence is the birthplace of mind. In the desire realm, there are all six birthplaces. In the form realm, there are four remaining, except for the nose and tongue. In the formless realm, there is only the birthplace of mind. In order to show touch, various names such as touch are mentioned due to the cause of the six birthplaces. In order to show the function of mentioning numbers, the total touch of the eye and so on are mentioned. That is, eye consciousness arises depending on the eye and form. Therefore, the aggregation of the three, object, sense power, and consciousness, at the same time is called touch. Likewise, the aggregation of the three, ear, sound, and ear consciousness, at the same time is called the total touch of the ear. The remaining sense powers are also combined in the same way. Among them, the five from the total touch of the eye to the total touch of the body are called obstructive touch, because they rely on the obstructive sense powers such as the eye. The total touch of the mind is called the touch that particularly enters the object, because the eye and others hold the function of form, and after seeing, the mind thinks about it, so it is called the touch that particularly enters the object. In order to explain feeling, it is said that feeling and so on arise from the cause of touch. By saying the six aggregates of feeling, the number is shown. In order to show the difference by showing the number, it is said that the feeling arises from the total touch of the eye. That is, the feeling that arises from the aggregation of the three, eye, object, and consciousness, is called the feeling that arises from the total touch of the eye. It also changes the feeling into three types due to the cause of encountering a pleasant object, encountering an unpleasant object, and encountering an object that is neither, that is, pleasant feeling, painful feeling, and neither pleasant nor painful feeling arise. Among them, if you encounter a pleasant object, pleasant feeling arises. If you encounter an unpleasant object, painful feeling arises. If you encounter an object that is neither pleasant nor unpleasant

When encountering (feelings), a feeling that is neither pleasant nor painful arises. Similarly, through encountering pleasant sounds, unpleasant sounds, and sounds that are neither, three kinds of feelings also arise from the contact of the ear sense. The remaining sense faculties should also be applied in the same way. Among these, that which soothes is the feeling of pleasure, meaning that it benefits the sense faculties and the four great elements. That which causes suffering is the feeling of pain, meaning that it harms the sense faculties and the four great elements. That which neither soothes nor causes suffering is the feeling that is neither pleasant nor painful, meaning that it neither benefits nor harms the sense faculties and the four great elements. Alternatively, whichever feeling arises that cherishes and benefits the body, sense faculties, and mind, one thinks, "I am happy" when it arises and remains, and one thinks, "I am suffering" when it ceases, this is called the feeling of pleasure. That which harms the body, sense faculties, and consciousness, one thinks, "I am suffering" when it arises and remains, and one thinks, "I am happy" when it ceases, this is called the feeling of pain. That which neither benefits nor harms the body, sense faculties, and consciousness, one neither thinks "I am happy" nor thinks "I am suffering" when it arises and remains, this is called the feeling that is neither pleasant nor painful. Among these, regarding the feeling of pleasure, etc., arising from the contact of the mind, the soothing from the contact of the eye sense up to the contact of the body sense is called the feeling of pleasure, and suffering is called the feeling of pain. Among these, regarding the soothing of the feeling arising from the contact of the mind, it is named the feeling of pleasure, that is, it is called the feeling of mental pleasure, and suffering is not called the feeling of pain, but is called the feeling of mental displeasure. Among these, the feeling arising from the contact of the eye sense up to the contact of the body sense is called the feeling of the body because it relies on the colored sense faculties. The feeling arising from the contact of the mind relies on the mind.
