La. Those six kinds of degeneration, the Thus-gone-one does not have degeneration, because from the arising of degeneration in relation to the knowable obscurations that should be abandoned, until the showing of the wisdom of liberation, there is no degeneration. Therefore, it is said from not diminishing faith until not diminishing the showing of the wisdom of liberation. Furthermore, the noble Arhats, regarding the objects to be known of the three times, cannot fully comprehend them merely through effort, so their wisdom is unattached. They cannot fully comprehend everything, so their wisdom is unimpeded. However, the Thus-gone-ones, without effort, can comprehend the objects of the three times, without attachment, and comprehend everything without impediment. Therefore, from "seeing the wisdom of the past time without attachment and without impediment" until "seeing the wisdom of the present time without attachment and without impediment." Furthermore, the noble Arhats, in the actions of body, speech, and mind, do not have wisdom as a precursor, sometimes they engage in virtuous bodily actions, sometimes they engage in unspecified actions. Similarly, the actions of speech and mind are also engaged in as before, engaging in mixed actions. However, the Thus-gone-ones, for all three kinds of actions, wisdom is the precursor and wisdom follows, only virtuous actions arise, unspecified actions do not arise, therefore it is said "wisdom goes before all bodily actions" until "wisdom goes before all mental actions, wisdom follows." Among these, because it is propelled by wisdom, it is said "wisdom is the precursor." Because wisdom arises simultaneously, it is said "wisdom follows." For the meaning of those eighteen unshared qualities, it is said that the actions of body, speech, and mind are completely pure, possessing unshared excellence, and before obtaining the support and fruit of the Thus-gone-one's power, possessing the excellence of not completely degenerating, possessing the excellence of abiding in unshared wisdom, and showing the excellence of engaging in unshared actions. Among these, "without error" indicates the complete purity of the body. "Without idle talk" indicates

Through actions, the purity of speech is demonstrated. Through four qualities—unwavering mindfulness, absence of an unpacified mind, absence of diverse thoughts, and absence of impartiality without individual examination—the purity of mental action is shown. From unwavering faith to the manifestation of the wisdom of liberation, the six qualities termed 'unwavering' demonstrate that the Tathagata's power, along with its basis and result, is undiminished even when unattained. Among these, the basis of power is faith. The result is liberation and the manifestation of the wisdom of liberation. The power itself consists of diligence, mindfulness, and wisdom, in three aspects. From the phrase 'unattached and unimpeded to past times' to the phrase 'unattached and unimpeded to times that have occurred in this way,' these three sentences demonstrate the perfection of abiding in uncommon wisdom. From the phrase 'wisdom precedes all actions of the body' to the phrase 'wisdom precedes all actions of the mind, following after wisdom,' these three sentences demonstrate the perfection of universally engaging in uncommon actions. Following the demonstration of the eighteen unshared qualities, the thirty-two marks of a great being are mentioned to explain them. Among these, the question 'What are the thirty-two marks of a Tathagata?' is asked and answered. If one possesses these marks, it will be understood that this is a great being; therefore, they are the marks of a great being. There are thirty-two of them, and the eighty minor marks are their retinue. 'Having very stable feet' means that the soles of both feet are entirely full and can be placed evenly on the ground, without any depressions or protrusions. 'Beneath the soles of the feet, there are wheels marked on the soles of the feet' means that on the soles of both feet, there are wheels with a thousand spokes, complete with the center and all aspects of perfection. 'Having large heels and high feet' means that the heels are wide and thick, and the instep of the foot is high. 'Having webbed hands and feet' means that between the fingers and toes of both hands and feet, there is a thin membrane-like connection. 'Having soft and tender hands and feet' means that the hands and feet
