etc. Thus it was said. Among them, samadhi is also accomplished by two kinds of solitude, namely physical solitude and mental solitude. Therefore, in order to achieve physical solitude, it is mentioned here, "Monks, in a secluded place" or "under a tree," etc. Because in secluded places and under trees, etc., there is no commotion of children and women, etc., so it is a place of physical solitude. In order to show mental solitude, it is said, "This own body," etc. The inner body of oneself refers to the body of mind. "Born from solitude" means born from samadhi, that is, born from abandoning the discrimination of desire, sin, and non-virtuous dharmas. What is born? Therefore, it is said, "Why is it joy and happiness?" Joy is mental happiness, and happiness is the happiness of ease, corresponding in order. To moisten means that the mental happiness and the happiness of ease born from samadhi, both make the body and mind undisturbed and peaceful. That happiness does not pacify one aspect, but in order to show that it pacifies all aspects of body and mind, it is said, "completely full," "completely satisfied," and "completely pervasive." These words have the same meaning. Among them, "one's own inner body is moistened by the joy and happiness born from solitude" shows that it is pervaded by the joy and happiness born from the first dhyana, the second dhyana, the third dhyana, etc. Or, joy is to moisten, happiness is to completely fulfill, to contemplate with ultimate yoga is to completely satisfy, and to contemplate with the fruit of ultimate yoga is to completely pervade. Thus, when contemplating with ultimate yoga and contemplating with the fruit of ultimate yoga, the joy and happiness of meditation are completely fulfilled, so contemplating with ultimate yoga, there is nothing that is not pervasive. Contemplating with the fruit of ultimate yoga, there is nothing that has become not completely pervasive. In order to accomplish that meaning, an example was given, for example, monks, etc.

It is said. For example, just as the flowers that grow in water are filled with the coolness of the water, so too, those have the meaning of the joy of meditation filling the body and mind. Having transcended the joy arising from the first dhyana, the second dhyana, and the third dhyana, etc., why not say that one will abide in joy in the future? It is said, if one falls away from those samadhis, one will not be born in the desire realm, nor will one experience its joy. If one ascends to higher and higher realms, one will obtain joy from other samadhis, so there is no joy in that. Even if one is liberated from sorrow, there too, one does not experience the joy of samadhi. Therefore, one does not say that there is joy in the next life, but rather that one will abide in the joy of seeing the Dharma. In order to conclude the teaching of the second meditation, here it is said about teaching meditation and so on. In order to master the teaching of the third meditation, to those monks, it was said about meditation, practice, and closeness, etc. Regarding the perception of appearance, the practice of perception is the cause of obtaining the eye of miraculous power. Among them, the practice of the perception of appearance is also of three kinds: becoming the antidote to darkness, the appearance of Dharma, and the appearance of the body. Among them, becoming the antidote to darkness is the light of the moon and stars, etc., at night, the light of day is the light of the sun, and in the time between the two, it is the light of fire and jewels, etc. The appearance of Dharma is when anyone clearly remembers the categories of Dharma such as mindfulness of the Buddha. The appearance of the body is when any deva, etc., possesses the light of their own body. The incompatible aspects of the first appearance, darkness, are also of three kinds: the darkness of direction, the darkness of clouds, and the darkness of covering. The darkness of direction is all-pervasive, that is, night. The darkness of clouds, even in daytime, etc., is also covered by thick clouds, and it also becomes dark. The darkness of covering is when houses, etc., are covered without a roof, and without windows, etc., it becomes unclear. Among the three appearances, if here one contemplates the appearance that has become the antidote to darkness, then
