will not arise completely. At that time, he will think, 'Do I have attachment to the desire for desire, or is there a feeling of not arising and arising? Or, is there no feeling of not arising and arising from non-existence?' Thus contemplating, and further becoming very pure, this is called the attention to the signs of virtue. This is called the attention to destruction. Therefore, by destroying and seeking the various aspects of the antidote in this way, meditate until a certain time, he is free from all the afflictions of the desire realm, and the antidote attention of the ultimate practice of the first dhyana arises. This is called the ultimate attention. After that, he will attain the fundamental first dhyana, which is the fruit attention of the ultimate practice. Among them, with the attention of correctly knowing the characteristics, having correctly known what should be abandoned and what should be attained, in order to abandon what should be abandoned and attain what should be attained, the mind is completely focused. With the attention of special devotion, after that, he will strive to practice correctly. With the attention of complete solitude, he will abandon the appearance of great afflictions. With the attention of the correct gathering of joy, he will abandon the appearance of medium afflictions. With the attention of destruction, the attention of attainment will also cause the mind to abide without arrogance. With the attention of ultimate practice, he will abandon the appearance of small afflictions. With the attention of the fruit of ultimate practice, he will separately experience the fruits of good meditation. Just as the first dhyana has seven attentions, so too, up to the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, the seven attentions should be combined as appropriate. If explained in detail, it is not explained in detail because there are too many words. Among them, all the grounds below the two aspects are coarse, and the two aspects are the nature of being unpacified and the short duration of the formations of life. After the dhyana, the four Brahmaviharas are shown, and in order to explain as shown, it is said, 'What are the four Brahmaviharas?' etc. Here, it means in this desire realm. Monks,

The term "action" means calling and giving orders, just like before. The term "bhikshu" refers to a yogi who cultivates the four immeasurables, and is a bhikshu. Among them, "Brahma" refers to nirvana, and the place to attain it is the Brahma-place. Or, "Brahma" refers to not entering into all sins and being able to abandon them. The four dharmas that do not enter into sin are the four Brahma-places. Having a mind of loving-kindness, although samadhi is not mentioned, it means the samadhi of loving-kindness, which is a synonym for having a mind of loving-kindness. What is it like? To show its difference, it is said "without enemies" and so on. There is no distinction between friends and enemies, benefiting all sentient beings, and having a mind of happiness, therefore it is without enemies. To make sentient beings abide in the side of virtue, and to make them practice the supreme path, this is the mind of benefit, because having such thoughts, there is no discord. In reality, thinking of benefiting all sentient beings, just like women of different sizes, there is no competition with each other, this is its synonym. Thinking of letting sentient beings, gods and humans of the good realms, all attain nirvana, this is the thought of happiness, because having such thoughts, there is no harm. Or, because even to enemies there is no intention to harm, therefore it is without harm. In the time of the beginner, gradually expanding loving-kindness in one direction, therefore it is vast. When loving-kindness is accomplished, it will pervade the ten directions, therefore it is a great transformation. The mind is equal to all beings, loving to friends, and without hatred to enemies, therefore it is non-dual. Focusing on the immeasurable sentient beings of the desire realm, therefore it is immeasurable. Abandoning the opposite of loving-kindness, hatred, cultivating loving-kindness without mixing it with hatred, therefore it is extremely cultivated. The so-called saying and pervading in one direction, one direction refers to the very beginning, whether it is east or west, any one direction as the object, here, like a mountain on fire, from the perspective of the vessel, it shows focusing on sentient beings who are attached to the vessel. The so-called faith refers to faith and attention, because it focuses on sentient beings of the desire realm, therefore all sentient beings of the three realms are suffering.
