It is the collection of the twenty-two faculties. The three, namely the faculty of "I will know the unknown," etc., are pure. Among them, the eye faculty is like an open lotus. The ear is like a rolled-up barley ear. The nose is like a tilted woman's needle. The tongue is like a cut moon. The body is like a fingernail wearing armor. The mind faculty is the moment immediately after the cessation of the six consciousnesses. The male faculty is like a thumb. The female faculty is like the belly of a drum. The faculty of suffering is the experience of discomfort in the body together with consciousness and the senses. The faculty of pleasure is the experience of comfort in the body together with consciousness and the senses. The faculty of joy is the experience of happiness in the mind's consciousness. The faculty of sorrow is the arising of pain in the mind's consciousness. The faculty of equanimity is when neither excessive pleasure nor suffering arises in both body and mind. The faculty of faith is to have unwavering belief and joy in the existence of karma and its results, happiness, the Three Jewels, and their qualities. The faculty of diligence is the uninterrupted continuation of virtuous activities such as listening, contemplating, and meditating. The faculty of mindfulness is the unwavering remembrance of the characteristics of the Dharma, and the words and meanings heard, even after eons. The faculty of concentration is the unwavering focus of the mind on the object of meditation. The faculty of wisdom is the accurate understanding of the individual and general characteristics of all phenomena. The faculty of "I will know the unknown" is when abandoning the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, from the faculty of faith to the faculty of wisdom, the five faculties, as well as the faculty of pleasure, the faculty of joy, the faculty of equanimity, and the four faculties of the mind, these nine faculties, having abandoned the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, transform from previously unknown to "I will know." The faculty of "knowing" is when abandoning the afflictions to be abandoned by meditation, these same nine faculties clearly distinguish the incompatible and opposing aspects. The faculty of "knowing what has been known" is when attaining the state of an Arhat, these same nine faculties completely abandon all afflictions to be abandoned by seeing and meditation, and possess the wisdom of cessation and non-arising. The faculty of life is the sustenance of life and vitality as long as one has not died. The meritorious

The completion of abandonment is the blessing of giving. The truth of cessation, to be realized, is the blessing of peace. The truth of the path, to be cultivated, is the blessing of wisdom. The six causes are: the acting cause, the co-emergent cause, the similar cause, the equal cause, the pervasive cause, and the ripening cause. For example, earth, water, fire, and wind, even though one element is present, all four are complete within it. One cause acts upon another, and they rely on each other, arising together. It's like how one person alone cannot destroy something, but many people working together can easily destroy it by digging. Similarly, one helps another to be liberated, which is called the co-emergent cause. When the mind and mental factors engage with an object and cut it off, one alone cannot engage and cut it off. Many minds and mental factors, one cause helping another, arise together. For example, the former only provides temporary help in destroying, but this one not only helps but also allows one to stay even if one cannot leave, and even provides food, like being guided. This is called the similar cause. If a virtuous mind arises, virtuous mental factors also arise. If a non-virtuous mind arises, non-virtuous mental factors also arise. Just as the mind arises, so do the mental factors arise accordingly. This is called the equal cause. The four concentrations of the desire realm and the form realm, and the four formless absorptions, these nine abodes, what is born before, later will cause the arising of defiled dharmas, therefore it is called the pervasive cause. The cause of virtuous karma leads to birth in higher realms, and the cause of non-virtuous karma leads to birth in lower realms, and the body will be born as good or bad, this is called the ripening cause. Any dharma, whatever it may be, that does not obstruct or hinder arising. For example, if a sprout arises and is not obstructed by others, and it does not obstruct itself, it is therefore called the acting cause. The four conditions are: the causal condition, the dominant condition, and
