In that monastery, to abide in a state of being content wherever one is, and not being picky about comfort, is the basis as it is. What are the five eyes of the Tathagata? They are the physical eye, the divine eye, the eye of wisdom, the eye of Dharma, and the eye of Buddha. These arise from the maturation of virtuous deeds and are possessed only by the Buddha, hence they are called the five eyes of the Tathagata. To see all forms within the three thousand great thousand worlds is the physical eye. To see all the forms of the world extending to the edge of the sky realm is the divine eye. To understand that all phenomena are without self is the eye of wisdom. To understand that individuals are without self is the eye of Dharma. To completely understand all that is knowable in the realm of what is to be known is the eye of the Buddha. The so-called twenty-one aspirations of a Bodhisattva refer to not being deceitful and not harming others. That is, having the aspiration not to deceive all Khenpos and Lamas. Among them, those who bestow vows and teach the Dharma are Khenpos, and those who are elder in discipline and wisdom are Lamas. Not engaging in any evil deeds such as falsehood and deception for the sake of life itself towards such individuals or anyone else is not deceiving all beings, and because no one can do this, it is a superior aspiration. Having the aspiration to be happy when cherishing and associating with Bodhisattvas who are in accordance with the Dharma. Among them, those who generate Bodhicitta and uphold all precepts are Bodhisattvas who are in accordance with the Dharma. Having no hatred from within and having a joyful mind is cherishing. Not engaging in beating or scolding with the body, and not speaking harsh words with the mouth, is the aspiration to be happy when associating with them. Having the aspiration to control one's own mind in order to subdue afflictions and near afflictions, as well as the works of demons. Among them, attachment, anger, pride, ignorance, wrong views, and doubt are the six afflictions. Wrath, resentment, concealment, vexation, jealousy, stinginess, deceit, cunning, arrogance, harming, shamelessness, lack of embarrassment, dullness, agitation, lack of faith, laziness, recklessness, forgetfulness

, as well as distraction, lack of mindfulness, sleep, and investigation, these twenty are the near afflictions. Attachment to the five desirable qualities, and delight in the one-sided peace of the Hearers, is because of clinging to samsara and nirvana, therefore not abiding in nirvana, obstructing the Great Vehicle, therefore called the work of Mara. Not being controlled by these, but being able to control one's own mind, is called overpowering, the intention to control one's own mind. The intention of not seeing all conditioned phenomena as faults, the phenomena of the three realms are called conditioned phenomena, realizing that all these phenomena are self-realized is nirvana, not like the Hearers abandoning the faults of samsara, not seeking nirvana elsewhere, therefore it is called the intention of not seeing conditioned phenomena as faults. The intention of not seeing nirvana as a virtue, so-called not like the Hearers, thinking that the one-sided peaceful nirvana is happiness, wanting to enter into it. The intention of constantly meditating on the virtuous dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment, so-called the companions and causes for attaining unsurpassed enlightenment, are the virtuous dharmas of enlightenment, in reality referring to the four mindfulnesses, etc., as well as the ten bhumis and the ten paramitas, constantly familiarizing oneself with them without interruption, thinking like this is the intention of constantly meditating. The true intention that is in accordance with the practice of these, so-called after practicing these virtuous dharmas, staying away from the hustle and bustle, wanting to go to a solitary place, is the solitary intention that is in accordance with the practice. The intention of not being greedy for worldly possessions, gain, and respect, so-called food and clothing, etc., the alms bowl and Dharma robes are worldly possessions and gain. Prostration and service are respect, when teaching the Dharma to sentient beings, teaching the Dharma with the intention of benefiting sentient beings, without the intention of obtaining wealth, therefore it is called the intention of not being greedy for respect. Abandoning the Lesser Vehicle and practicing the Great Vehicle.
