Therefore, later not doing it will turn into scattered people, etc., interrupting unwholesomeness. As it says in the "Noble Maitreya Lion's Roar Great Sutra," the Blessed One said, "I have taught the categories of the Three Skandhas Dharma in order to exhaust the sinful deeds previously done. But those foolish people especially manifest falling, manifest gathering, and think that they can be purified merely by confessing and purifying sins, and they will not keep vows in the future." Therefore, the sinful deeds previously done should be purified by confession, and the future should be cut off by guarding and not doing. Confessing sins can be done at any time, reading sutras such as the "Three Skandhas Sutra" and the "Sutra for Cutting Off Karmic Obstructions." Or, in front of body, speech, and mind, confess with the object of what sins have been committed. Now is the fourth common meaning, rejoicing in merit: "All Buddhas and Buddha-sons of the ten directions," refers to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, the three types, which is the same as what was said in the previous section on prostration. "Pratyekabuddhas" refers to solitary Buddhas, who, for the sake of their own peace and their own taming, have conquered the sinful and unwholesome dharmas arising from afflictions. "Trainees" refers to the seven types of people, such as the Stream-enterer, who still need to learn in order to reach the ultimate. "Non-trainees" refers to the fruit of the Arhat, who has completed their own affairs, and the Arhat has exhausted the defilements and completed what needs to be done, like saying that there is nothing more important than this. "Whatever merit of beings," refers to the word "beings" which encompasses everything, referring to the five categories. "All" is the same as "everything," referring to everything, for all sentient beings of the three times, as well as the merit of the trainees, non-trainees, solitary Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Buddhas of the three times, one should rejoice, meaning that when others do good deeds, one's own mind rejoices, which is the same as one's own attainment. If you do this, if you do good deeds sincerely, the merit will be great. If the thought is average, the merit will be

Small thought, small merit. Rejoicing is also the same; if one cannot or does not have the ability to do it oneself, then with a sincere thought rejoicing in what others have done, it can also turn into great merit. Likewise, with medium or small thoughts of rejoicing, the merit is equal, and it can also turn into small. Thus, in others doing good, there is no decrease, and one can greatly obtain it oneself, therefore one should constantly rejoice in merit, arising in each and every moment, and accumulating into a collection of goodness. Now, the fifth general meaning, cultivating the mind with the thought of urging the Tathagata to turn the wheel of Dharma. Which are the lamps of the ten directions of the world? The general meaning of this is, in the realms of the ten directions of the world, having manifested the unsurpassed and extraordinary enlightenment of the lamp, having attained the wisdom of non-attachment and non-obstruction, being the protector of helpless sentient beings, all those, I urge them to turn the unsurpassed wheel of Dharma, and request them to teach the Dharma. There is a dispute there: To which Buddhas of the three times should one make the request? Some of the past and present have already been requested by others, so one should not make the request to them. If so, to whom should one make the request? It should be combined with requesting those who have initially attained Buddhahood and are abiding in the state of not speaking. Explaining the words, Which refers to the general scope of those who have just attained Buddhahood in the present time, and the Buddhas of the future time. Lamp of the world means that the body emits light and dispels darkness, and the light of the speech that teaches the Dharma, such as the eightfold noble path, dispels the darkness of ignorance of sentient beings, illuminating both the container world and the sentient world. Therefore, the twelve deeds of the Buddha Bhagavan and so on are called the lamp of the world. Or, it is also said that it dispels the attachment to self in persons and phenomena in the world. Enlightenment means the perfection of abandonment and the perfection of wisdom. Among them, abandonment means
