The distinctions of whether they are not present or present, and the extent of the sphere pervaded by the realm of Dharma, reaching the edge of the sky, even on each atom, one should contemplate that Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, equal to the dust of all Buddha-fields, reside, and one should generate the intention to offer to all of them. This supreme offering is worldly. The second, unsurpassed offering is: "Whatever offerings are most supreme and vast." This means that the unsurpassed offering is far superior to those below the heavenly realms, it is unparalleled, it is the powerful Bodhisattvas who emanate into nine excellent offerings. Vast means pervading and expanding into many world-systems. As it says in the sutras, like hearing and seeing various unsurpassed and vast pure offerings, and oneself, to the best of one's ability, filling and expanding into many Buddha-fields with offerings, and making offerings. "They also believe in all the Buddhas." This means that with the example of unsurpassed offerings and those without equal, one should also offer with faith and a mind of wisdom to all the Buddhas mentioned above. Or, one can also use the objects of unsurpassed offering for such a case as mentioned in the Sutra of the Secret Revelation of the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One said to Brahma Crown-Ascension: "Brahma, these three are the unsurpassed ways of making offerings and serving the Tathagata. The action of offering produces immeasurable unsurpassed merit. What are these three? They are generating the unsurpassed, perfectly complete, and fully awakened mind of Bodhi, upholding the Dharma of the Tathagatas, and practicing the Dharma as it has been heard. Brahma, those who wish to make offerings and serve the Tathagata, and to make unsurpassed offerings, should make offerings with these objects of offering." Thus it is said. "By the power of the aspirations of excellent conduct." This connects the two lines above and below, that is, with the power of faith in excellent conduct, one should offer to the Buddhas with vast, unsurpassed offerings. It can also be connected in this way. The following line, "I prostrate to all the Buddhas."

I also prostrate and make offerings. Furthermore, combining this with the power of faith and devotion to the practice of the Excellent Conduct, like the instructions of the Excellent Conduct, I prostrate to all the Victors with the four types of prostrations and the two types of offerings mentioned above. "Offering" is the conclusion of all the preceding words. The third common meaning is the confession of misdeeds: It is explained with one verse, such as "Due to the power of desire, hatred, and ignorance," which also has four aspects: Confession should be done from the four aspects of the cause, basis, nature, general, and specific characteristics of misdeeds. Among them, the cause of misdeeds is desire, hatred, and ignorance. The basis of misdeeds is: body, speech, and mind. The nature of misdeeds is: "Whatever sins I have committed," that is, the sins and non-virtuous deeds that I have committed in this life and in other lifetimes. The general characteristic of misdeeds is "whatever," that is, what one has done oneself, caused others to do, and rejoiced and approved when seeing others do evil. Due to the power of desire, hatred, and ignorance, the sins committed through the doors of body, speech, and mind, as well as inciting others to do evil and rejoicing in others' evil deeds, all of these should be confessed with regret, displeasure, and a respectful mind, as mentioned earlier in the context of praising the Sugatas. In front of the Buddhas and many Bodhisattvas, my body appears in many forms, and with many heads and tongues, at every moment, I think of confessing sins, and I confess and repent. "Similarly" means not to combine it with the mind beforehand, but to confess in the same way as the sins were committed. In response to this, one might argue: If one does not confess sins, what is the fault? What is the need for confession? Answer: There is a need. If one acts without fear of sin, does not confess or repent, and thinks that it is okay to do so, then sins will continue to increase. Because of attachment to the mind-stream, even obtaining a superior rebirth as a god or human in samsara is very difficult, let alone hoping to be liberated from samsara? Confessing sins, if one sees sin as sin and feels displeasure, then regretting and confessing will not increase the previous bad habits and will be purified. If one is displeased and regrets, one will fear and stop doing evil.
