Where the object to be realized manifestly is the way to show the knowledge of realizing the truth of cessation. The term "object to be realized" is spoken, because what is to be realized manifestly is the meaning of what is to be realized manifestly. If it is realized, one will not be afraid of cessation and will fully embrace joy. Therefore, the truth of cessation is to be realized after that. Therefore, it shows the knowledge of realizing the truth of cessation. After that, the object to be meditated upon, the truth of the path, is shown to be meditated upon. The term "object of meditation" is spoken, because in order to accomplish the three meanings mentioned above, the path must be practiced. Therefore, the truth of the path is to be meditated upon after that. Therefore, it shows the knowledge of meditating on the bliss of the path. Thus, as shown, knowing the four noble truths, those show the nature of the object in which the mind dwells, arising in those grounds, focusing on those objects. Thus, in those grounds, the object in which the mind dwells, arising in those objects, knowing the nature of the four noble truths, what are its limbs? Its limbs are the eight limbs of knowing the four noble truths, namely the limb of combination, the limb of aspect, the limb of object, the limb of attention, the limb of unfavorable factors, the limb of antidote, the limb of the place of antidote, and the limb of the means of not degenerating from the meditation of antidote, each object and order. Among them, what is the first limb of combination? It is shown by the term "that which is to be made essential." The object in which the mind dwells, knowing the nature of the four noble truths, the limb of combination with this is that which is to be made essential. That is, by the combination of respectful combination and the combination of constant combination, that is made essential. By the combination of respectful combination, it will not diminish. By constant combination, it will reach the end. Therefore, such undiminishing and reaching the end of combination, in order to make the object in which the mind dwells essential, therefore, this shows the limb of combination. What is the limb of aspect? Its

It is indicated by what is called 'the object of form.' What is the object of form of the object of abiding mind, which is the nature of knowing the four noble truths? It is the form of calm abiding, the form of insight, and the form of union. Among these, the form of calm abiding is the nine abidings of the mind, the six powers, and the four mental engagements, which have been previously explained. The form of union is the single-pointed mind that is the union of calm abiding and insight, which is the mental engagement. These explain the limb of the form of the object of abiding mind. What is the limb of the object? It is indicated by what is called 'the object of that object.' What is the object of the object of abiding mind, which is the nature of knowing the four noble truths, as explained above? The object of calm abiding is the image without conceptualization. The object of the form of insight is the image with conceptualization. The object of the form of union is the complete accomplishment of the limit of the object and the intention. These explain the limb of the object of the object of abiding mind. What is the limb of mental engagement? It is indicated by what is called 'the object that is skilled in discerning what has been abandoned and what has not been abandoned.' What is the object of mental engagement of the object of abiding mind, which is the nature of knowing the four noble truths? The seven mental engagements are the mental engagement that knows the individual characteristics, the mental engagement that arises from faith, the mental engagement of extreme solitude, the mental engagement of discernment, the mental engagement of gathering joy, the mental engagement of ultimate union, and the mental engagement of the fruit of ultimate union. Although all of these are included, here the emphasis is on explaining the mental engagement of discernment, so it is said, 'the object that is skilled in discerning what has been abandoned and what has not been abandoned.' This is the mental engagement that examines and discerns what has been abandoned and what has not been abandoned on all the paths of meditation, and thus makes familiar how to attain the path. Although this is the case, here all the grounds of equipoise are included by the term 'path of meditation,' the miraculous power
