What are I, mind, and Dharma? What is it to observe it accordingly? What is mindfulness? What is the establishment of mindfulness? What is abiding? The body has thirty-five forms. Internal, external, apprehended by the senses, not apprehended by the senses, counted as sentient beings, not counted as sentient beings, possessing bad states, possessing extreme training, the body of elements, the body transformed from elements, the body of name, the body of form, hell beings, the birth place of animals, the realm of hungry ghosts, human, divine, possessing consciousness, without consciousness, the internal body, the external body, completely transformed, not completely transformed, the body of a woman, the body of a man, the body of a hermaphrodite, the body of a friend, the body of an enemy, the body of an ordinary person, a bad body, a medium body, a good body, a young body, an adolescent body, an old body. This is just a brief classification of the body. What is feeling then? Like this, feeling of pleasure, feeling of pain, feeling of neither pain nor pleasure. These are also of the body and of the mind. With defilements, without defilements, relying on attachment, relying on renunciation. These are twenty-one feelings, transforming into nine forms. What is the mind then? Like this, mind with desire, without desire, with hatred, without hatred, with ignorance, without ignorance, collected, scattered, timid, extremely grasping, agitated, not agitated, pacified, not pacified, in samadhi, not in samadhi, well cultivated, not well cultivated, mind extremely liberated, mind not extremely liberated. These are twenty kinds of mind. What are the dharmas then? Like this, desire, subduing desire, hatred, subduing hatred, ignorance, subduing ignorance,

Gathering, distraction, timidity, grasping, excitement, non-excitement, pacification, non-pacification, well-composed, not well-composed, well-cultivated path, not well-cultivated path, extreme liberation, non-extreme liberation. These are the twenty dharmas of the black and white aspects, the afflicted and purified aspects, which should be known, and these are not objects of focus. What is the subsequent view of these? Three kinds of wisdom, namely, based on body, feeling, mind, and dharma, whatever wisdom arises from hearing, from thinking, and from meditation. With that wisdom, one truly understands, fully understands, follows, and realizes all bodies, feelings, minds, and dharmas in every way, and what is the view of equality towards the body of images of discrimination and the body of nature, etc. What is mindfulness? It is the mindfulness that correctly gathers samadhi, that is, based on body, feeling, mind, and dharma, whatever is the thought of the meaning of only those dharmas that are grasped, and whatever is the non-forgetting by the mind of the words and meanings and manifestations that are manifested by meditation. Thus, the wisdom of following observation and the mindfulness of correctly gathering samadhi are the nature. Thus, in the state of showing the nature, it also shows the minds and mental companions that have the same characteristics as these, and these are the close mindfulness established from the corresponding. What is close mindfulness? Regarding the dharmas of my inner body, etc., are they well grasped or not well grasped? Does wisdom well examine these or not? Does liberation well touch these or not? This is close mindfulness. Furthermore, mindfulness protects all and the realm of

Without any affliction, and with those three causes of focusing attention, whatever is the well-established mindfulness is called mindfulness. That is, in the stage of practice for the first-time practitioner, one contemplates the aspect of impurity on the body; one contemplates the aspect of suffering on feelings; one contemplates the aspect of impermanence on the mind; and one contemplates the aspect of selflessness on phenomena, and abides. After that, in the stage of obtaining mental engagement, one contemplates and abides in the body, feelings, mind, and phenomena of suchness, respectively. How does one contemplate the body on the inner body and abide? How does one contemplate the body on the outer body and abide? How does one contemplate the body on the inner and outer body and abide? How does one contemplate phenomena on the inner feelings, mind, and phenomena and abide? How does one contemplate phenomena on the outer feelings, mind, and phenomena and abide? How does one contemplate phenomena on the inner and outer feelings, mind, and phenomena and abide? When sentient beings are counted as individuals, each contemplating the body on their own body and abiding, that is contemplating the body on the inner body and abiding. When external forms that are not counted as sentient beings are taken as objects, that is contemplating the body on the outer body and abiding. When the external forms of others, counted as sentient beings, are taken as objects, that is contemplating the body on the inner and outer body and abiding. Among these, when feelings, mind, and phenomena arise in dependence on one's own body, counted as sentient beings, and one focuses on those, those are contemplating phenomena on the inner feelings, mind, and phenomena and abiding. When feelings, mind, and phenomena arise in dependence on external forms that are not counted as sentient beings, and one focuses on those, those are contemplating phenomena on the outer feelings, mind, and phenomena and abiding. When feelings arise in dependence on the external forms of others, counted as sentient beings,
